I'm sure people have seen my posts mentioning the constant none ending stream of bugs, that have now led to my decision to leave sto once i find a suitable replacment game.
What i want to know is why do bugs constantly get ignored n nothing done about?
Why is it when bugs cause players to loose things and reasonable requests are made for em restoring are we told they cannot?
Why despite the number of players complaining about the game being bugged is a full debug not being done?
Why are new additions not properly tested before being implemented causing yet more bugs?
Why is it they can release more and more paid stuff, and promptly fix bugs that involve paid items, but not fix bugs in free stuff area?
List of bugs i have personally reported over 7 months ago that still exist
Bootoff problems
Exchange listing errors
Traders saying they have to go n causing window closes when you have not interacted with them
Map manager issues
Not getting rewards from dailys due to bugs, and not being able to be manually given the rewards
Bugs i have known about i have not reported cuz i know others already have
Animations during missions causing charecters and other things to disapear then reapear
Travel links for missions not leading to the right place during missions
Constant lag (checked n is not my connection)
New issue since migration
linking reward problems (this one is actually being looked into)
Login issues on game login screen (can only sucsessfully login from launcher screen, quadrupled char switch time, what fun)
A stream of dead end links on the cryptic site (that one made recovering my cryptic login details a real pain)
Name reversion on forums (i changed mine for security purposes due to a potential comprimise, just great love the fact i changed it ingame and on forums for account security purposes n now it is back)
When is something actually gonna get done, this is not even my complete list i cannot remember them all due to the fact i have only been off the nightshift a few hours and am tired. N instead of getting to play spent a large portion of my time trying to figure out why i could not login. Guess now i will go submit a ticket about that, yet more time i get not to play, yay.
Probably cause not everyone is having these same issues. Sure, some of what you mentioned but none of the game breaking ones. At least I haven't been having most of those you mentioned. So that leads me to believe that some are only occurring occasionally or intermittently.
Some of them like the animation bug thagt i have seen others say about, and the new login one i would say are pretty serious. I was just using the list as an example that the game needs a full code debugging badly, as i am sick of having to exit the client to change chars, have animations go messed up dring missions, and loosing alot of rewards, then being told they cannot even be credited. One by one they are intermitent, but with all them (and more), plaguing people, some on a daily basis it ruins the game for them.
That is why i am saying the game needs a full debug, i have seen plenty of others say in the forums that the current code needs stabilising, so i know i am not alone in being fed up with this.
On the loss of rewards, i wouldn't mind so much if i could get it credited, but i never can when i submit tickets on it, if we do the work n loose out due to bugs, only fair that until things get fixed that we should be credited it, i wouldn't mind so much if we were given what we lost (3k from dailys problems, 1.5k from map error on rom temple and 2.5k from not being able to get reward even tho they r linked n that is in last 10 days alone, not exactly a small or intermitent loss of dil really, more a semi constant).
The minor stuff like trade freighters n exchange can live with, but some of the ones that cost time and resources should be credited when it happens, n more serious things like the graphic n login problems really need sorting, as does the loss of mission credit if we ain't gonna get reinbursed.
Except for the annoying trade freighters, and the occasional issue of items not updating on the exchange properly, I have not encountered any of the other issues on any sort of recurring basis.
Sure disconnects and lags happen, there are several issues that can cause that - server issue is one possibility, but there are others, such as a temporary glitch in your connection, or somewhere along the IP route between you and the server.
I have seen an issue with characters in missions disappearing and re-appearing, I think once. It doesnt happen often.
If you have any knowledge of programming, you know that bugs are always going to be there, especially in something as complex as this game. Fixing bugs, can often create new bugs too. You cant just say go in and fix it, because the problem has to be located first and once found you have to decide on a way to fix it without creating more bugs or complaints such as yours.
If they were going to do a complete debug of the game, that would take a long time. This means more people will be working on reviewing code for relatively minor glitches that may not even be caused entirely by the game and possibly for a while, than creating new content. Do you think the recent content drought was bad?
I dont see the issues you mention on a daily basis, bugs that do impact everyone's ability to play the game are addressed quickly. As far as recovering lost items, I lost an email full of stuff that I emailed to myself, yeah I submitted a ticket, no I didnt get my items back... but !@#$ happens.

There is a season (turn turn turn)
And a time for every purpose under heaven
Those are the worse bugs to try to fix.

My 2 cents.
