I was going to mention that about a 5th of this crew is made up of Republic Officers. The Republic operates on a 'what goes on in quarters stays in quarters' policy. Basically, our officers can do what they want in quarters as long as they don't cause any kind of injury that can't be repaired with a tissue regenerator - we keep medkits in all our quarters as a health and safety reg.
With the war, it would probably be a good idea to issue medkits to all quarters anyway, but I wanted your permission before I told the other Republic Officers they could start sparring in quarters.

First, here on RIN News, Republic Naval Forces began an operation last night to retake the city of Harvest on Eris II. The R.S.S. Republic, along with 4 support ships and the R.A.S. Infinity began the operation with the RNF MC 2nd Corps Shock Battalion at 1700 hours, local time. Lindsey Farrel with more.
*The screen changes to show another part of the studio, with images of Eris II on different screens.*
Reporter 2: Thanks, Kyle. Well, not much information has come through yet, but what we do know is that the 2nd Corps Shock Trooper Battalion has succeeded in retaking most of the East Quarter of Harvest, one of the colony's major cities. There have been rumours of insurgents armed with UNSC particle and photon small arms, but these have not been confirmed.
*The ticker at the bottom of the screen shows a small caption.
'Have you been affected by the events on Eris II? Get in touch with us now.' With a subspace message address below it.*
The R.S.S. Republic has also been providing air cover for the Planetary Defence Force troops stationed on the planet, who have largely been trapped by the rebels.
It has not been made clear what the rebels are aiming to achieve, but there has been speculation that they may be working with foreign governments. More details as they become available.
*They screen changes back to the main desk.*
Reporter: Alright, thanks Lindsey. So, a lot of speculation surrounding the insurgency. More on that later.
Now, however, more UNSC forces have been pulled from the war effort with the Eblisi, despite increasing demand for ships to lead the relief effort. We now go live to Tarek on Reach.
*The screen changes to show a Turanian reporter in the UNSC Military HQ on Reach.*
Tarek: Thank you, Kyle. The crisis apparently started a few weeks ago when UNSC ships went missing along the UNSC-Covenant Border in the Virgo Galaxy. Jacob Halsey and Captain Lasky were sent in to investigate. They were then attacked by a new opponent called the 'Papal Mainframe'. We have been allowed special access to speak with a military official on the matter.

Dani: Terry, you can't blame yourself for the actions of the entire crew. Besides, with the war, people were bound to start butting heads sooner or later.
Which... is something else I want to talk about. The Federation doesn't permit officers to brawl anywhere outside of a ring or holodeck or other designated area. Gillian and Colas is just the start, and I'm going to have more and more trouble keeping that reg in check as this goes on. I can't throw the entire crew in the brig. I was going to mention that about a 5th of this crew is made up of Republic Officers. The Republic operates on a 'what goes on in quarters stays in quarters' policy. Basically, our officers can do what they want in quarters as long as they don't cause any kind of injury that can't be repaired with a tissue regenerator - we keep medkits in all our quarters as a health and safety reg.
With the war, it would probably be a good idea to issue medkits to all quarters anyway, but I wanted your permission before I told the other Republic Officers they could start sparring in quarters.
I know it doesn't exactly set a precedent against crippling other crew members, but I'm betting what happened with Gillian wouldn't have happened if she could have cooled off sooner.
That's part of the reason I want to be bunked with her. I can keep an eye on her and I can try and keep her anger from getting out of control again.
Terry, we're not going to be able to function if crewmen start killing each other in the crew lounges.

Strauss: I can speak on it lightly. We have forces moving in to engage them. And the fleet should reach the hot zone in about 8 hours .
Weynal: Please nothing so plebeian or brutish..
Terry: Yes.
*OOC: Nothing on this?*
Drake: Cass. What brings you here?
Lochley: I'm sorry about this, Daniel. Really.
*She turns to face Tara.*
Miss Forrester, can you come with us, please?
Tara: What?
Lochley: You're under arrest. Please, don't make this any harder than it already is.
Drake: Under arrest?! On what charge?!
Lochley: Murder of Darik Kenabi on Mari Colony less than one year ago.
Tara: WHAT?!
*The guards try to restrain her as she struggles, violently. Drake puts his hands on her shoulders.*
Drake: Tara, calm down. Fighting isn't going to help.

*Tara starts to tear up.*

*She smashes her elbow into one of the guards' nose before dashing out the door.*

*3 minutes later. Luke is chasing after Tara through the corridors.*

*He taps his combadge as Tara turns a corner.*

*The bulkhead starts coming down, Tara getting through when it's halfway. Luke rolls under it just before it closes before drawing his phaser and shooting Tara on low stun. She collapses to the floor as he runs over to her.*

Tara *groaning*: You shot me...?
Luke: On low stun.
Tara: You shot me!
Luke: Oh, stop whining.

*Tara tries to hit him, with him catching it before kissing her.*

*Luke takes her into the Jefferies' Tubes, pinning his combadge outside.*

Tara: I didn't kill him.

Tara: You don't know what evidence they have on me.

*She fidgets uncomfortably.*
I can't stay and if P-Sec catches me, I'll go to prison for something I didn't do.

*Tara drops her head, realising how heartbroken that must have just left Luke. Luke holds her cheek and moves her head up to look at him.*

Tara: Luke, if you want to help me, then help me get off this ship. Please.
Luke: Okay. I have an idea.
*He pulls off an access panel and takes out a few isolinear chips. He then replaces some of them in a different configuration. He then places in another, but leaves it out slightly.*
Just push that in and it'll trigger a transport to the surface.
Tara: Thank you.
I'll meet you there in a few hours. I'll tell you where.
*She plants a small kiss on his lips.*
Luke: I'll hold you to that.
*She gives him a weak smile, before pushing the chip in. She's quickly beamed out an a short beam of white light.*
