Feds using a slow turning carrier with crappy sci skills vs a fast moving BoP. Get rid of distribute shields, you'll only need rear facing. Dealing with the average fed is going to get easier I think.
Sad but true...I also would have preferred less spam, but at least now not only the Feds must suffer it and maybe the PvP will be more balanced...but we'll see...

Call me naive, but I would think the number of escort/BoP pilots with Cannon Scatter Volley should mitigate the fighter spam.
Not very many run CSV anymore. It's all about CRF.
However, cruisers are on the rise since the sci nerf. Four cruisers running double FaW might be able to combat it.
On a lighter note, it's not like the carrier can turn to hit those 90-degree skills (Tyken's Rift, Grav Well, SNB). Heck, I have enough trouble running an Oddy with Saucer Sep to hit an SNB. However, there are a good number of skills that are omnidirectional. I'll be interested to see the builds that come out of this, as horrible a thing it is. At least it isn't a Universal LC slot. I think that would drive me insane, as the BO config would generally be stronger than that of the Vo'Quv or Kar'fi.

And the carrier so looks like it's from the Covenant, from the front at least. The pics on the front page linking to the 2 related Dev Blogs make it resemble some Covenant ships. Not saying it doesn't look Romulan or anything, just saying it looks Covenant.

Nope... CSV isn't actually enough (not even close) to dealing with carrier TRIBBLE.
Neither is double torp spread, with 2x CSVs. Especially when siphon drones are on the field, and you get the stupid doffs which reduce CD to five seconds for the spam.

Klinks will counter the Fed Carrier with such ease that Feds that dropped there $$$ will be annoyed. Klink Carriers terrorize Fed Pugs cause Fed Pugs choose to fly ships with less DPS then a well built LT. Commander Ship.
All this really means is more fighting spam.... JOY. I hate quing FvK with out a full premade of friends. Why is that ? No its not because the Klingons are evil and to hard to beat... its because matches against Klinks with bad Feds are VERY VERY annoying.
I guess now I only PvP at all if I have a full team to run with.... and I won't be the only one holding to that.
So now all the people that QQed about not having a Fed Carrier can redirect that to the Premades that are shredding there new carriers before they can launch anything. LOL enjoy.
Premade teams that choose to use carriers are going to be no fun to play against if the feds get the same type of pets.
It will be very easy to make an carrier team which is totally over powered even without aceton assimilators , the feds have op ams and theta as well now.
A team using tachyon drones and power drones with a few choice science skills will be incredibly powerful.
All the fed ball needs do is spam out the maximum drones before combat , with some croniton mines , when the klings uncloak they will be swarmed, add in some, scramble, AMS, tykens, tractors , cpb , theta , eject plasma and nobodys going to be , moving, shooting, healing , have any shields or be able to cloak (with no aux).

In the name of Jean Luc Surrenders, I surrender. I am NOT pvping with that garbage on the field. Chronitons and tractors...... with phasers.... really? Why not just call them Jr Sci Ships, because the pets fufill the exact same role as a sci ship presently does in pvp.
