First, it's actually 500 days that ought to give the token, since it's a replacement for an item we removed from that. I'm working on getting the descriptions updated on our website.
Second, we've added that issue to our database; thanks for reporting it.
... So this is a reversal of what D'Angelo said? that the VA token would be given at 600 days? 500 days is... well, obviously there'll still be grumbling about it, but that's at least 100 days better. Thanks, Zero!

But hasn't D'Angelo said here it was at 600 days? But if this was back at 500 days, than, better yet.

AHAHAHahahahahahaha... Sorry, this makes me REALLY laugh. No, really, I find it quite amusing. Zero, please consult with sdangelo and Stormshade, because there were some conflicting posts (between blogs, forums, etc.) that flipped-flopped between 500 and 600.
For what it's worth, I agree with you that it should be 500 since it's been "sold" as the 250 Emblem replacement that was removed from 500. But the last offical announcement I remember reading, was that it was actually going in place of the 600D. Personally, I don't care, as I've passed 600 and should get it either way, assuming it's not straight-up bugged (my next toon is BG3, so I'll see soon enough, I guess).
Note: I just checked your Vet Rewards page and it is listing the VA Token at 500 Days. So that's nice.

After the Gecko T3 ship disaster I m kind of hesitant to give much weight on one more post saying 500 or 600 days. Still, if the VA token is really supposed to replace the 250 Emblems, will that also be Cryptics final vote on including the ~60k dilitihium that some 500 day vets lost, when their eligibility for the special BO reward for the dilihium economy transfer took place?
Some 500 day vets have basically been shafted twice. once we have no use for the VA token, while we could have used the emblems. and the second time when some characters just fell short of getting the BO because they lacked just below 60k dilithium.
Haha! Apparently I missed some memos here at work. Obviously D"Angelo is correct and it's 600 days. Believe me, I /facepalmed over this one. -_-
Fark has given me the brain cell plushie that we have around here, since obviously I could use another.
wish i thought this would be funny.
So
1) diliithium conversion special BO: Is it possible to calculate the 500 day vets (those who reached 500d before Dec/01/2011) but didn;t get the 250 emblems, with an additional ~60k dilithium to see if they are eligible for the BO reward.
2) what are you going to do to compensate the lost 250 emblems award for the 500 days award??
3) maybe d'angelo is in the know, and can share his wisdom with the crew. Intra-office communication seems to have some problems lately
2) what are you going to do to compensate the lost 250 emblems award for the 500 days award??
i think the answer is simple: they won't
why? because a reward of dilithilum equalivent to 250 emblems would give a lot of people a lot of dilithilum, seriously upheaving the economy, reducing the actual amount of real money people spend for awhile, etc etc... the only downside? a lot of upset people, which they're dealing with already.
i could be wrong (hope i am), but that's how i see it currently

well then give us something else, it doesn't have to be dilithium. Clearly they can make up snazy rewards pretty quickly. the options are limitless

It's okay Zero - when the announcement of the change first came down EVERYONE here was confused too because it was stated it was teh replacement for the 250 Emblem vet reward (which did used to be the 500 day reward); b ut they were rearranging things and the VA!/BG1 Token reward WOULD be teh 600 day reward, etc. - and even Stormshade had to get get it straight and fix a post he had made, etc.

He did share -- I was out sick for a little bit, and managed to miss out on the communication. The fault for this lies solely on me. (And possibly a little on the germs that got me sick. Iconian germs, probably.)

Glad to hear that you are better now. Way to dodge the questions.
There was talk about a BO replacement for the 500day reward. Maybe just another instance of said something on the forums without reading memo.

Zero, thanks for facing the music and admitting to the faux pas.
Could you please pass the sdangelo memo and the Brain Cell Plushie to your Web Design People? It appears they need the help as your guys' Official Vet Rewards Page shows the VA Token as a reward for 500 Days. I haven't checked the in-game Accolade description, but you'll want to make sure that's fixed too.
...There was talk about a BO replacement for the 500day reward. Maybe just another instance of said something on the forums without reading memo.
My interpretation of events is that the BO replacement that was talked about by jheinig (over several posts, linked here) was instead actually used for the Dilithium Tax Compensation Reward. I think this because when Jesse talked about the replacement BO he refers to a "special trait 'Veteran'", which is, in fact, exactly what was given for the D-Tax.
I'm not complaining, I was "lucky" and qualified for everything, but I enjoy a good game of Sleight of Hand when it plays out so well...
People missed out on the 500 Day 250E, which may have caused them to fall short of the Top 1% and the D-Tax compensation, so they also didn't qualify for the Vet BO, which was first talked about as a replacement for the 250E. And the VA Token that was actually already taken away from all subscribers was generously given back to the subs to ease the lost 250E by being a reward for 600 Days, that was apparently also lagging.

I seem to remember this being moved to the 600 day reward description, so maybe it was moved back to 500?
Besides this I would like to weight in on the 500 day/ 250 Emblem issue. I still believe that there should be an equivalent replacement for the emblems and I'm sorry but the VA token just isn't it. The reward was basically 1/2 of a new ship and a ship token does not equal that. I understand not wanting to give the dilithium out, but there should be something that you could give that would make a good replacement, but please not another Bridge Officer. I was also lucky enough to get one of the Veteran Bridge Officers and now I also have one of the Photonic BO's.... and with my Breen, Remen, & Borg Science & Engineering I really do not have any place for them because even if I get more slots I can't put any more "on Duty" so they are kind of a waste to me ..... Maybe you could give out a special weapon????
Now if you would just live up to the T-5/T-3 problem and honor the word the if you were able to claim it before the switch you will be able to claim it after the switch, we all were able to claim it for 137,000 EC and now we can't.........

Makes perfect sense, right?
i m just to stubborn to shut up about it. Saying what i really think about whats going on here is just not worth getting angry about, or wasting more text on it.

Well, for what it's worth, Zero, the news is disappointing, but I'm glad you came on and told us as soon as you could. Thank you for that.

Ah, a Think Geek reference! Sweet!
I got one of my coworkers a Beer Yeast plushie one time because he home brews. He still gets chuckles out of that!
He did share -- I was out sick for a little bit, and managed to miss out on the communication. The fault for this lies solely on me. (And possibly a little on the germs that got me sick. Iconian germs, probably.)
I actually got my brain cell at the Star Trek con in Vegas this year!
just to be pedantic, thinkgeek buys them from giantmicrobes.com and resells them..
Glad to hear that you are better now. Way to dodge the questions.

That's just a text update that Brandon already fixed.
Thanks for making sure we didn't overlook it.
