The schedule for our remaining celebration events of 2014 has now been announced. Since their introduction these events have served to bring our diverse community together to celebrate some of the unique aspects of Star Trek and Gene Roddenberry's vision for the future.
Check out the UFP's Minecraft Utopia Dynamic Map, of special interest to those of a KDF persuasion may be Dodgers full scale K't'inga and his Recreation of First City (WIP).
Just another small perk of being a member of the UFP!
Also, for those interested in STO: The KDF Bat'leth Competition is on this Sunday.
Does this fleet have much in the way of RP? Also, I'm a new player constantly getting my space fairing ridged forehead handed to me on a silver platter, so what do you guys have in the way of helping newbies get our feet under us?

Hello there,
The UFP doesn't turn away people based on their level of experience. Many members come to us new and get helped along by some of our more experienced members. In terms of specific help we can offer:
- Forums full of tips, advice and people willing to answer your questions.
- Specific events designed to help newer members improve (Such as our 'Intro to Ground STF' Events)
- Group runs of all content several times a week, all levels of experience welcome.
- ESF (Elite Strike Force): Who are our resident STO experts - friendly bunch always willing to lend a hand.
We are also involved in several forms of RP, from Reserves events (on 'vintage' Trek games like Bridge Commander, Armada), Simms, and our minecraft server which is also semi-RP in nature.
If you have any more questions then please feel free to ask; the UFP is a great place with a friendly bunch of people, feel free to look about the forums and get involved before you fully commit!
Not so much as on other titles, but we do host themed events such as Dominion War events and TOS themed FED vs KDF/ROM engagements etc. I'm not sure if this is what you had in mind, but I hope it helps!
Many of the event staff try to tie in some lore to their events and to support this we have been running themed 'holiday' events this year, these themed holidays take place every month with a few exceptions for when we have our quarterly award ceremony for members.
There are some cool ones coming up before the end of the year especially for Klingons for the Day of Honour and the Kot'Baval Festival both should feature lots of Klingon roleplaying.
Our events page HERE shows some upcoming events.
The announcement HERE talks about the holiday events.
The announcement HERE has the schedule for the remaining holiday events for the year.
Thanks again for your responses. Although I might like a more rp heavy fleet, I was just thinking about the Day of Honor while making dinner and remembering a broadcast I did on a small college radio station for it. The broadcast was a flop, unfortunately, but the idea of having rp heavy events on Klingon holidays ROCKS! So thanks again, you guys are very much in the running for being the fleet to whom I pledge my loyalty.

We do try to cater to roleplayers and we have lots of roleplaying activity outside of STO, if you are looking for a really RP heavy STO fleet then there might be more suitable choices out there for you.
If you do decide to join then we would love to have you, if not then no worries but you're still more than welcome to register on our website and drop by whenever you like. Ultimately you need to make the decision that is right for you and we respect that.
Don't forget: Tonight we are running our Clasic No-Win Scenario Event today. It's a PvP themed event that is taking place in the TOS era including a Tuffli Freighter, one Constitution Refit and three K'tinga Battlecruisers in D7 skin, . Sounds like great fun! https://ufplanets.com/showthread.php...rio-themed-PVP
Be sure not to miss out the qualifiers for the Champion Standing tournament which begin today!
Speaking of today, don't forget it's STF Sunday!
Take part in hosted STF runs for all of the ground and space STF missions. These events are perfect if you have characters in need of Omega rep, want to try out new builds or if you are yet to experience or simply want to brush up on STO's endgame content.
We run events for members new or old. Events such as INTRO TO "INTO THE HIVE" provide help to members on STF runs and how to effectively use techniques to get them done. There is STF WEDNESDAY to put those new-found skills into practise.
Or FRIDAY PVP for those that want to kick back and have fun!
We've had some interesting news articles this past week. Our two most recent posts have explored the life and health of Leonard Nimoy as well as an informative article on Star Trek: Prelude to Axanar
