Two Technical Questions

Okay, I'm coming back from a short hiatus and I have a [probably stupid] question for you. I was looking at this item in the CStore:

Service: Two Additional Bridge Officer Slots
(400 Atari Tokens)
This option grants a single character two additional slots for a Bridge Officer. Expand your crew without leaving any of your current officers behind! Note: Both Federation and Klingon characters may use this option.

Now, I'm just a commander, I can only have 8 officers. But what if I want more right now, and I apply this service to my character and get 10 (or however many) slots, will I still get +2 slots when I become a rear admiral?

    The C-Store slots do not influence your grand total of BOff slots. What's unlocked by ranking up still counts separate. :) And right now, these are even on sale!

    One thing to keep in mind: Ship, Costume and BOff slots are per character, to make sure to buy the slots with the character you'll use them for. Only Character Slots are account wide.

    yes, you gain slots per rank regardless of whatever you have already. If you have 8 now and purchase 2, you will have 10 now and still gain 2 more at the next rank.

    Costume and Character slots are per account.

    Ah can't say I've ever felt the need to buy them (and that's probably why) but the others I knew from experience :)

    the costume one used to be per character and then got changed, so an understandable mistake.

    Sorry about that. Had two, figured out one of them, forgot to change the subject. My bad, everybody. And thanks for coming out of the woodworks to help me out.
