I belive there are some things that should be in the Cstore that would not only sell well but players would get quite some enjoyment out of them. here are just some of my ideas. (see link)

I'd note though that those are exactly the kind of things that should be in the C-Store, fluff items with no impact on game play.

How about they should just be added to the game?

See, Cryptic already has you trained to think if you want something new, you're going to have to pay for it.

DONT give in. These items would be nice additions. We already pay $15 a month to play. Tell me, what have we gotten new in the game the past month for that $15? Don't say server maintenance. That doesn't cover all subscribers money.

I support the Cstore supporting it supports the game and i will continue to do so as i am lifetime and have no MO Fee. However i would like the devs to take a look at these and perhaps consider adding them.

2 Remastered episodes, which are awesome (Diplomatic Orders, Doomsday Machine) with 3 new rewards (1 for KDF).

6 New reward items delivered via the Featured Series replay weeks, including a new ship equipment set, personal shield & combat pet.

...I do absolutely agree with what you're saying, though. They only seem to be pumping out more and more items with the C-store in mind. Even the DOFF system is starting to look like just another way they can make more money on the C-store. It's getting extremely old, and gives the game pretty bad publicity and word of mouth advertisement, despite the game's numerous improvements. If they want to keep on this path: Go F2P. I'd complain alot less if they adopted a business model like CO's.

Not really sure that supporting the c-store does much else other than supporting more c-store items being developed. The hype is that it supports the game. But I've not really seen the results back that up.

Aye, I seem to recall Stahl mentioning how the C-store is somewhat of a self sustained entity within the game, funding the production of items that wouldn't be present otherwise - although, oddly enough, they always mention bringing in new costumes and the like primarily as items for new episodes... but they end up going on the C-store for the players to purchase... Unfortunately, unless we got our hands on an STO financial report, I don't think any of us will ever know for sure.

    Exactly.

Objecting to purely fluff items that are out-of-time relative to the game's setting is irrational C-store hate.

There's plenty of stuff to rationally hate in and planned for the C-store. No sense wasting anger on the reasonable stuff.

The "Maquis" pips you are proposing are actually provisional pips. IE, the people wearing them are acting with the authority of that rank, but don't have the blessing of Star Fleet to be acknowledged as holding that rank. Example is Torres who was Chief Engineer and held the rank of provisional lt jg but there were people working under her that technically outranked her having actually earned their commissions.

If the 29th centure pips were available for a few bucks in the Cstore, I'd buy them. I have to support the game somehow. Also, it's a fluffy item that has no actual impact on gameplay, which is what Cstore items should be.

I have no issues with decorative stuff or clothing to be offered in the C-Store. If you don't want to buy it, don't. However, ships, or special abilities that impact gameplay, that I I think should be obtainable in the game. I was mentioning in another thread that a tricorder pack (like TOS, Klingon, etc. ) could be a C-store item. It does not impact gameplay, and is only a skin, then it can be a purchasable item in the C-store. I have no objections to the C-store existence and see its need in keeping the content alive in the game, but I understand how some feel about it.

The Maquis pips should be added gratis as part of the uniform they should actually be worn with, the DS9 uniforms as worn in Voyager. However, I would be content with the others (the full 29th Century uniforms, including pips and the TNG Dress uniforms) being made into C-Store packages.
