Caitian BOs on C-Store

Alright.. please forgive me if this has already been posted, but I couldn't find any relevant threads.

I noticed on the calendar that Caitian BO's are going to be added to the C-Store soon.

The main argument I've heard over the last couple of months against allowing Caitian BO's is that eventually, you intend to let us promote our BO's to playable Captains, which would allow people who obtain Caitian BO's in game to be able to get the playable Caitian for free.

So.. I'm hoping that when you put the Caitian BO's on the C-Store, you're going to unlock them for those of us who bought the Caitian captains. That would only make sense...(especially since there's no block on Klingon BO's, yet we have to pay to play them on Federation as well)

    When I saw that on the June calendar, I was a bit confused myself. All the excuses on why we could not get Caitian BOs just came up BS with that. I would also hope they would have them unlocked for those who have bought Caitians as a playable... but I have a feeling (since it seems it's being bundled with the Aenar BO) that it won't be.

    yea, I saw that just today as well and I too hope that our catians are freebs.

    It's not "two different things."

    We were sold the Caitian Captains. When asking for Caitian BO's, we were told that the system they're working on that allows us to promote our BO's to Captains would effectively allow those who didn't buy Caitians to play one, so they have to work that out. Now, they're selling us Caitians.. and, if they're not going to give those of us who paid for Caitian Captains them for free, then all of their arguments are moot.

    when will you learn that cryptic are never going to stop nickel and diming their players? you're paying a monthly sub for a free to play game without even realising it

    Funny... you all think we should get the BO for free because we bought the Caitian Captain but how about if they at cryptic think its better to bring the Caitian BO to C-Store and if you want to promote the BO to a Captain you have to buy the Caitian Captain ability like we have. Double money *yay* for Cryptic.

    I don't think we will get the Caitian BO for free because we bought the Caitian Captain!

    Scherbe, they have always said that they "try to price on their C-Store according to the cost of development".

    I can't see that much work being needed, given that all the assets were done when making Playable Captains. It's surely not enough work to justify having to double-charge, when they would already make money from players who haven't yet bought it, but would buy them just for the BO.

    They worked that out, as promised.

    Remember everyone... the caitian BO isn't exclusive to the C-store... there will be ways to get one in game aswell. Thus you'll most likely NOT get it for free because you have the captain.
