    They did post a message yesterday afternoon saying there would be a sale today.

    Sales happen.

    The only problem is that it came out of nowhere.

    And so soon after another sale.

    Retail Outlets, Grocery Stores and Websites such as Amazon, have surprise sales all the time.

    I disagree with a lot of things that Cryptic does, but getting upset at Cryptic for something that businesses have been doing for centuries now makes no sense.

    Grocery stores, Best Buy etc, HONOR the sale, if you come back the next day and say HEY!

    You can't even get a response out of Cryptic!

    Not even a "too bad"!

    Like I said, it's just my 10c

    In any case, not one more dollar will ever go to the C-Store from my pocket!

    Some do, some don't. In any case they don't have to, and it makes no sense to get upset at Cryptic because they've lowered prices.

    lol I got a ship the other day and i dont feel cheated :D
    I will be buying the rest of them now they are half price however
    And if they are 75% off next week meh i got them at this price as i wanted them now.
    Sales happen . Then a better sale comes along
    I missed out on the 20% lifer sale by days when i got the other half a lifer sub as a birthday present my 1st reaction wasen't OMG i want a refund :D
    It was Damn lol but so what it was still a great deal even at full price.

    Wow. Let me guess you bought a ship when it was 20% off and now it's 50% off.This was a nice surprise by Cryptic. I bought the TOS pack when it came out and had no problem with it being in the 20% sale because I didn't care. Get off your high horse. Companies have sales all the time and some are surprise ones.

    I really don't understand some people and the way they go about things.

    I brought the Guramba for a Klingon character, as i was aware (hoped) that within weeks there would be a Tax Sale like there was the previous year. The 20% saving also allowed me to buy another costume pack for my Fed. Now had i waited and got the Guramba this weekend, i would've saved more, and likely brought something else too, yet hindsight is a wonderful trait isn't it.

    But am i mad? No, just like i wasn't mad when i brought my LTS in December only for a 20% discount to the LTS in February. Sales happen and no one can get spiteful because of not knowing when they will be (or the what type of sale or discount will be applied). If we had months of warning that a sale was incoming, no one would buy anything during the run up to this sale, so how is this good business for a company?
    Cryptic didn't have to do this ship sale, nor did they have to do a 20% sale a few weeks before. The way i look at it, i saved a little and got a few products that i am very happy with, and that is really all that matters.
    But to feel cheated about this...really?

    I really like and agree with this line from Captainjtkirk - "Sales happen. Then a better sale comes along"

    How many times have we seen this happen in life? If you are not sure, I could easily point to a few holiday/festive periods that implements this over a period of a month or so.
