Section 31 Uniforms

Does anybody know what these uniforms will look like in game? Just wondering if they'll be worth it because if its just a black looking garment I would hope the art department would produce better choices for uniforms BUT if it looks cool then I'll buy it.

    you will probably get a glimpse if you speak to drake in your contact list, but there will of course be screenshots on the site when it goes live. they should look like the ones sloan wore in DS9.

    i would not expect too much tough, they are effectively just black coats.

    Personally i like them... the only question I have is can i put rank and combadge on them as Drake has neither....

    It'd be nice if the uniform came with new gloves too. I don't mind one of the styles, but I never use the 'padded'.

    Sloan's jacket had a leathery look. I sure hope the Section 31 uniforms incorporate more than just what the in-game character is wearing.

    The uniform (yes, nothing plural) is available in the C-Store. You can add a few CommBadges but other than that, it's pretty basic. No rank pins, no new gloves, no trenchcoat variant, no special Deputy Director Rank (this would really be a seller if included), and there are stance clipping issues. If your toon has the Thoughtful stance, your hands disappear into the butt of your toon. Honestly Cryptic... Does anyone seriously take a look at these models before releasing them into the C-Store? If the AFT uniform is any indication of how little the uniforms mean to your income, then this will never be resolved just like the AFT ramk pin clipping issues have never been resolved. Bug reports filed for both but nothing ever done!

    at 240 C-points I won't be purchasing it. It's drastically overpriced in comparison to other uniforms which are sets... which me saying that will have Cryptic go and in crease the sets to prices to make it seem better.

    Oh, damn, that precludes me from using it then, combined with how I would have to buy additional costume slots in order to fit it in (I wish we could place it in the off-duty slot, I never use that costume). Besides, even though I like to think of my character as a member of S31, wearing the costume in plain view on starbases and while captaining a ship does not seem to be plausible. Sticking with my mainly black leather starfleet uniform will probably have to do....But I might as well check it out in the tailor tonight to see how it looks for myself. If those clipping issues are present though, I would have difficulty using it for my Vulcan main.

    Yea and not only that but why waist time and on these when this would be time much better spend doing something for the KDF side, i mean realy just take an uniform you allready have and make it black and put gloves on and wala you have a section 31 uniform. shakeing head

    Seriously. I mean why don't those of us with KDF characters have access to the Dahar master coats? Why don't we have D'k tahg to go on our uniforms?

    I checked the uniform out in the tailor last night, and while the clipping is there, it's also there in the standard uniforms too, I just never noticed before. So, it's not a S31 uniform issue, but a global issue concerning the thoughtful stance.

    Regardless, I decided not to buy the uniform. It's so plain, and I prefer the black uniform I currently have on my main.

    good posts, will not buy. i have the merc uniform, and thats enough black for me...maybe if there is a huge sale discount on uniforms or something i might buy...but still dont think so, its only one and no gloves nothing els?.....thats a negative ghost ryder, no sale.
