First off, I am not really a fan of the 2009 Star Trek movie. However, I do conceed that some of the components of the Consitution U.S.S. Enterprise were very interesting. I would like to see them added to the C-store. The "Abrams Pack" would give players the ship parts from that design to both the Tier 2 Consitution, and the Tier 1 original series Consitution. Also, purchacing this pack would open the Consitution refit parts for the Tier 1 Consitution Crusier.
And the Kelvin and NuTrek uniforms, aaaand the fancy phaser with primary fire being stun beam and secondary being kill bolt. Cause dagnabit I wanna beam pistol that exploits!
Would be interesting to see (and this is coming from an anti-connie peep...) and I can think of one person in particular who would love this game forever if they added it.
Sadly, pretty sure Cryptic dont have the rights to anything from the new film, and the cost involved in getting access to it would be well beyond what they'd likely get back from the C-store.
I don't see that as viable to have that skin in the game as we are in the Prime Universe Timeline and not playing on the alternate time line that JJ created.

The Galaxy X is also from a different time-line, and so are the "all good things" costume packs.
Which makes your point somewhat moot.
since Cryptic doesn't have any of the rights, it's unlikely that the 2009 movie enterprise will show up... unless they can get some major money and get paramount's permission to do so
i would like it in-game though, as i like the look of the ship as much as the original and TMP looks
Its unfortunate that Cryptic doesn't have the rights, as it would be interesting to visit the ALternate Universe. Actually, I have created a ship that LOOKS kinda like the 2009 movie, I consider a "refit" of it.
Absolutly not. That movie belongs to an entirely different IP. There is no rhyme or reason for it to be in the "prime" IP, which is what we are in, which includes all alternate time lines and universes under said IP.
However, don't get me wrong I enjoyed the new Trek for what it is, I just don't need worlds colliding. This IP has a life of it's own, and should progress on it's own.

i don't know, star trek does have a few instances of alternate realities crossing over before (the mirror universe being the prime example)
the only thing in the way is what i said before... along with the inevitable outcry of those who don't want it, for one reason or the other

If they ever get the rights i would not mind seeing it, as i quite like the ship design but dont expect it any time soon, if ever.

However, not having the rights to use those elements is a valid argument.
