as a suggestion: c-store is a success regardless of some peoples feelings. i was thinking since you are in communication with CBS over various aspects of the game if you would consider talking about selling cryptic-star trek online merchandise like the have on there star trek.com website. like sto shirts dan doll a voo doo doll of craig, different memorbilia?

    Since CBS allows user-generated stuff via cafe press, I would suspect Cryptic could setup a Cafe Press store if they wanted.

    i think it would be a good money maker. it would also help prevent sto going F2P.

    also a red shirt getting butchered by a klingon and vise versa. be able to put the book at cryptic published about sto.

    What about player ships? Like what Blizzard did with letting people buy figures of their characters. I'd probably buy that.

    This is probably the main reason we'll never see customizable ship models for purchase, unless they put one hefty price tag on them.

    Posters and t-shirts, though, should be fairly cost-effective. Though as much as I'm sure some of the devs are squirming in place begging Stahl to please let it happen, it seems to me like one of those things the higher-ups just wouldn't let happen

    Depends on your idea of "costly". FigurePrints is the company that does the WoW figures. According to the Web site, they sell for $129.95. If it meant that I can get a statue that looks like my ship, I would be willing to buy one (assuming that I had the funds for it, of course).

    in my opinion, a detailed ship to look like yours or your personal character that you created in game would cost alot more then 130 dollars i would imagine more like 500 dollars.

    know that some mod moved this thread to the boon docks people wont see and add their thoughts. not too mention cryptic head staff. nice work mods. not to mention this is NOT about the c-store.

    This section is called "C-Store and Promotions", not just "C-Store". What you're describing is prime promotional material and therefore belongs right here.
