The TOS Veterans was created with the formation of Project Christopher.

Project Christopher is a Top Secret, Special Operation Project, thought to be initiated by Section 31 and said to be connected with, but at an arm’s reach from Starfleet Intelligence, The Department of Temporal Investigations, The Vulcan V'Shar and the Andorian Am Tal. Some of the "Projects" key personell and officers have a connection, even a position within these Intelligence agencies.

No one really knows how the Project is connected to these other agencies or organizations however it is clear that Project Christopher is self sufficient and not above the law, however it may be slightly beneath the law.

The project consists of sending back an extraction team to the targeted time periods to extract potential Captain material candidate’s moments before their demise and bringing them to the 2409 to help fight in the war efforts of the future.

It is not quite sure who is pulling the strings or if there is some other temporal violation that it is rectifying however, this organization is growing and is a force to be reckoned with.

We are older gamers in our 30’s, 40’s and beyond.. We are not at all serious, we are not big on rules or people bossing us around.. We like to have fun.. Pretend we are in the Star Trek world for an hour or so.. We like to help each other out and ask a lot of questions.. With us NOTHING is mandatory but having Vent helps and a good imagination..

Please check out our website to get an idea about what we are all about or just send me a PM.

Welcome to the Mariner 10 Spacestation.

Mariner 10 was named after an early 20th century Earth’s robotic space probe launched by the United States National Aeronautics and Space Administration. (Which later became part of United Earth Space Probe Agency) The Mariner 10 was launched on November 3, 1973, to fly by the planets Mercury and Venus. The Mariner 10 probe was the first spacecraft to use the gravitational slingshot effect to reach another planet, passing by Venus on February 5, 1974, on its way to becoming the first spacecraft to explore Mercury.

If you're looking for a mature fleet, where you don't have to justify getting offline because of real life, where there aren't a lot of complex rules or hierarchies, where people are out to have fun, socialize, and share their love of Trek, then you might want to check us out.

It's actually quite an exciting time here. A lot of things are happening on a lot of fronts. We welcome people who have an interest in taking a role in forming and directing the fleet, though plenty of us just want to play. You can take things at your own speed.

We have a TOS theme and backstory that involves rescuing captains from 2269 to help defend the Federation in 2409. We understand, though, that your original series might be TNG, and so we've expanded to include captains from the 24th century as well. A lot of us are interested in detailed character bios, and we're always happy to help members fit their bios to the fleet backstory as a whole.

For some of that backstory, see:

    http://sto-tos.blogspot.com/

You can also explore and, if things look good to you, apply for membership on the fleet website, here:

    http://www.tosfleet.com/

And, as always, remember that in the future, we'll have warp engines the size of walnuts.

This is easy! If you are over 30, have work and family cutting into your 'play time', you like Star Trek A LOT and want to hang with people that are in the same mindset. Then please click on my signature image, go to the site... read the front page message, watch the 5min recruiting video and if you still like what you see, then come on and join our fleet.

We have over 80 members (mostly) in our main TOS Veterans Fleet and we have some of our alts and a in the TNG Veterans and the TOS Qan Mang Klingon Fleet and we are looking to keep this fleet to a medium size. So if this fleet appeals to you or if you need any more information please let me know.

Have you been playing Star Trek PC games since the release of StarFleet Academy, Bridge Commander, Elite Force, or SFC.

Can you remember watching V'ger unleash its uberness in the Cinema for the very first time?

When you hear trek characters talk about genetic modifications, do you tend to ignore Bashir, and start screaming................... Khan!!!!!!!!! ?

Do you remember when Klingons had no forehead ridges?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, then check us out!

We're The TOS Veterana, and quite frankly..... We Rock!!!!

    TOSFLEET.com

In the year 2408 after the Klingon and Gorn invade Cestus III a Starfleet Committee chaired by Admiral Jorel Quinn passed motion to explore other options and possibilities in order to build up the Federation with commanders and ships. "We need to promote exceptional officers quickly. We need our captains leading away teams. Starfleet needs to look at our whole command structure and do what works now, not what worked 30 years ago."

A Starfleet diplomat was sent back to the late 2260's to speak with Starfleet in order to round up several possible exceptional commander candidates and as many star ships as they could refurbish from the decommissioned roster. This section 31 operation was known as Projct Christopher after the 1960's aiforce officer that was beamed aboard the USS Enterprise.

In order to not affect the time continuum the only way to choose worthy captains out of their own time and bring them to the future is to find all those that have no future. The captains must be about to die and taken from circumstances seconds before they meet their demise. They now have to accept that they have no past but have been given a new future. These are members of the ghost fleet.

The chosen captains were given ships that were pre programmed with precise calculations in order to carry out the light-speed breakaway factor to artificially-created time warp in order to time travel back to the 2408.

Once the initial five captain were sent, Starfleet would keep their eye out for any such qualified command personnel to join the fleet and to help fight the war in the future.
    You may be that commander!

Speak for yourself, sir! Personally, I get one of those three-foot beehives for all special occasions.

Just wanted to pop on and say that I'm really increasingly impressed by the quality of people who are joining this fleet. I couldn't ask for someone with more energy and enthusiasm than Gatoros, for instance.

We've got a number of excellent fiction authors and have begun to attract people interested in the Foundry. I'm happy to see us becomming a center of creativity. And I'm looking forward to seeing how our backstory (involving captains brought from the past to fight for the future) will develop through fiction, the Foundry, and RP.

We're also engaging in more PvP and fleet actions. If you'd like to see how we operation, we'll be taking on the Crystalline Entity this coming Tuesday.

Beyond that, we're a friendly, relaxed, mature group of people who love Star Trek. Real life always comes first, but we're also always availble to help one another in-game.

For some of that backstory, see:

We're a group of mature (30+) and friendly players with real lives who share a interest in classic Trek. If you watched TOS afterschool as a kid, prized your model Connie, had a plastic phaser pistol, or just enjoy the original, join in for a little fantasy and a lot of fun and friendship.

We're interested in all facets of the game. We've got plans for The Foundry and a growing group intrested in PvP. We've also started some exciting RP activities. And we're developing a fleet backstory together and sharing character bios. We are retrofitted to fight in the 25th century but we need you and your enthusiasm and creativity to help us out.

TOS Vets welcomes Commander-Ras, Cypher, and all the rest of your fleet into TOS Vets. You guys are a great addition to this fleet! And, to be honest, any old "vet" of SWG is good in my book. :)

Let the PVP begin. (Cypher, you still ain't took me out yet, I haven't took you out either, but you still haven't took me out (yet) ):)

It is indeed an honour to have more SWG gamers in our fleet. This seems to balance out with the relaxed casual side quite nicely. This way our fleet has a nice balance between serious and relaxed gameplay. We will be even better when our great SWAG Officer comes back full time :)

    Welcome Commander-Ras, Cypher!!

Our play style is relaxed with no time obligations. We believe that all fleet members should have a say in decisions. Our ruling council members are here to answer questions and participate in conversations, not dictate commands. We want to keep our fleet bank stocked with unique items at all levels to help everyone out.
    We have a TOS theme...

But because we have all found STAR TREK at different points in it's history, we have 2 "sister" fleets that embody what STAR TREK is for all of us. Your TOS may be TNG so our mission statement above still applies! Join and add alts to all 3! Consider all three part of the same Fleet!

The backstory of our fleet revolves around a group of captains and ships brought from the year 2269 to fight for the Federation. We intend the fleet backstory to be a collaborative effort, so discussion, ideas, and expansions are welcome. Fleet characters should have bios that relate in some way to the backstory, and we are happy to brainstorm on how to do that collectively. The TOS theme and backstory is meant to be fun and not a burden.

We are interested in all facets of the game, and plan to run occasional fleet actions with TOS era ships whenever possible. We also have plans to use The Foundry to create TOS-era adventures, flesh out our backstory and character biographies, and play with ideas that members have contributed.
