Happy Tuesday, everyone! Star Trek Timelines is now available for Windows through Steam. It's still essentially a mobile game that is a lot of fun. It does a offer a lot of premium packs to try and get your money. The real draw to the game is the ability to fly many different types of ships, old and new, and assemble your crew from the vast selection of characters through the history of the Star Trek universe. Crew do need to be leveled through obtaining items by completing missions, special events, and crafting. http://store.steampowered.com/app/600750/
I may go back to playing it casually once my internet is fixed now that it can be played on the PC. Their writers are very good and actually have put out some excellent story based content even though it's more of a card collecting game with animations and very simple ship battle mechanics. If STO had writing that good, it would want to play missions more outside of the handful that are left that I still like. Sadly, STO has had more of its superior content removed over the years, leaving a generic boring mess.
WAIT! JC the AMD 17.7.2[?ver] came out and did not want to install properly first attempt.
it may take too long to do... its blocking our fun waiting to finish so we can reboot

I installed that last night. Thankfully my internet co-operated, unlike trying to download sound card drivers where the download kept pausing and ended up corrupted a handful of downloads in a row. If you have issues installing the drivers, try the clean install. The clean install will reboot your system twice before the drivers are fully installed.
Happy Thursday, everyone! Did someone order a side of humidity with the light shower? If so, you might want to double check your order because the air is so thick and sticky, I think Mother Nature went a little heavy on the balmy weather.

I never click express or allow something to install without me being able to select individual components. Click custom and make sure you skip the ReLive junk. You want the clean install as well.
My internet has actually been working for about 12 hours straight. Considering I have had no working internet at home for the past couple of weeks. This is definitely an improvement.
Bout time -did you have to leave gifts at shrine to get good ISP karma
Nope! I got into an argument with their dispatch and repair department yesterday afternoon. The argument was over me insulting their techs by calling them lazy and pointing to the fact that it had been two weeks and my service still wasn't working. Considering maintenance had the ticket two Tuesday's ago and only got around to it yesterday... I'd call that lazy! Ironically, the issue was the same issue they apparently fixed 2 months ago. Yeah... They fixed it alright. :P Lazy buggers!
you are nodoubt sadly "spit in their soup" list. why you have to go through so much just to get good service these days.

AT&T is the laziest, most pathetic, and one of the most hated companies in the world! On the Canadian side under the name, Rogers. They are equally as bad and in some cases, worse.
Not a good combo move that comes for not have the right competition?
Canada doesn't really allow for competition. You have Bell and Rogers (AT&T) basically. Just about every other company is just a sub-brand of one or the other. The CRTC takes payments under the table to keep things this way as well. Bell and Rogers do not even attempt to compete in markets that they share. Both services are equally crappy in some markets, like mine, as well. Because you don't really have a choice of one being better than another, there is no desire to spend the time or money to fix serious issues.
Being told the issue was the same issue from 2 months ago reinforces that. Ironically, the issue from two months ago affects this whole side of the city thanks to one building about 20 minutes from here that has something creating noise on the lines that impacts the service of everyone else around and east of that point for about 25 miles. Honestly, I expect the issue to be back sooner than later and again, it will take weeks to get what they call fixed.

Before I bought my ultra wide, I was considering multiple monitors. I found the bezels on the monitors I wanted to use though were just not multi-monitor friendly. Just about all of the monitors I have and use around here have the ability to pivot (rotate 90 degrees). It's a feature I have been spoiled by thanks to Viewsonic. For the longest time, I exclusively bought their displays until I decided to go with an ultra wide. My Asus ultra wide does pivot but it isn't as practical when that display is 21:9 compared to 16:10.
Happy Sunday, everyone! Stay cool and enjoy the rest of the day.

And here I am, prefering multiple monitors compared to just one.
Much prefer being able to angle screens to one side or the other.

But that would be a lot of fun for Hort and Cappy could get in her daily exercise running from him. :P
Your laptop should be capable of that. Is the $600+ headset worth it though?
