What a productive Friday! Yelling at NewEgg got me $180 off of the RAM I wanted but sadly, not the video card. How of my usual suppliers though did tell me they should be able to get me one within a few weeks and allowed me to back order the card. I may actually get my new Ryzen system finished by the holiday weekend. :P Once Z gets back from Japan and sends up my power supply cables, I can wire everything up and hopefully the video card will be available shortly after.
The RAM is G.Skill 2 X 16GB kits of 2 X 8GB modules of F4-3600C15, which totals up to 32GB of RAM. It wasn't the RGB RAM I originally wanted but there are still too many issues with G,Skill's TridentZ RGB modules to waste my time on, regardless of how nice they may look. Corrupt SPD entries, dead LED's, and dead sticks are just too many issues that have been going for more than 4 months now to waste my time with. The video card I have been after is a Sapphire Nitro+ RX 580 8GB. Out of all of the 580's I have read up on. It runs cool, overclocks well, and has an RGB logo. Ideally, I want two of these in one system but that's probably not going to happen.
Z is off to Japan and will be gone for about a week. That is definitely one opportunity no one could pass up and I look forward to hearing all about it.

To do that kind of damage, that must have been a large ship. You would think either ship should have known the other was there long before thanks to RADAR to avoid colliding.

Most of my shipments come from the US. My RAM should be here some time next week and my Confederate blankets should be here Monday. The blankets are coming up from Florida and the RAM will either ship from California or New Jersey.
I guess ultimately, most computer electronics come from overseas. Sapphire, the company that makes some AMD cards, ships their stock from China over to California for distribution. The same applies for most RAM manufactures, SSD's, and so on. When I order Flake's for Z, they have to take a boat ride over from the UK unless I want to pay an insane amount for shipping. I was looking at this M.2 drive passive heatsink that was made by a Ueropean company. Considering the thing is smaller than a stick of gum, the cost to ship myself one was over 25 Euro when the heatsink was only 8 Euro. It just wasn't worth buying because of that.

It was the sheer size of the tote that was worth it. It seems that the smaller smething is, the more it tends to cost unless it's going on a commercial flight. :P
well as carry on it depends were you go they eye electronics differently not sayin they arent well educated but most of those tsa were low bid sub contractors that culd nto get a state lic to do security work and they over night into fat of tax payer [wait..no give me sorry]

Ironically, it showed up while I was out this morning. :P I got no notification that it was even out for delivery. Just an e-mail stating it was delivered. It's a good thing I wasn't too far from home. Stuff from Amazon arrives tomorrow. At least I know who is delivering that. If I see his truck anywhere in the neighborhood, I can chase him down for it. He is usually at my local McDonald's for breakfast as well.
