wile we are on the subject of escorts, could we PLEASE have the option to remove the 'center pylon' from the fleet escorts? like those extra deflectors can be removed from those science ships? i think those ships would look so much better without them
Speaking about glowing parts on the ship, is it possible to lower the bloom affect when using the abilities like emergency power to shields without affecting the bloom settings on my ships nacelles and impulse engines? I know theres a setting in the menu where you can adjust the bloom but it does for EVERYTHING and not for the separate stuff. I just want the red and blues on my ship glow like they do in the show without me getting blinded when using the EPTS ability or when the enemy ships are firing at my shields Thanks!
Its actually not even consistent in the episode "Message in a Bottle" Later in the episode when they are fighting the romulans the glow is the standard impulse red.
what? Logan is fixing stuff and talking to us again?!
yehaa!
on the top of my head:
#1: Intrepid Saucer lower side, has only 1 blinking light, there should be 2.
(the lower side of the saucer is bad enough as it is, but that only one side blinks makes it +9000 worse to look at).
that attached refit thingy on top of the necelles has bad placement.
the middle necelles blinky light is covered by it, and the other 2 have the geometry to much in the front, judging from this blueprint the geometry should have an identical distance to the end of the necelle.
I'm gonna spend a little time today and work on the lower hull for you, and for the ppl that also posted about this.
Cheers!
I was just wondering last week if this promise had been forgotten or was sitting at the bottom of the list.
This is good news, and the pic looks SO much better. I always cringed when I looked at it in game.
As far as the impulse engines go, I always felt they were supposed to be a pale blue as opposed to white.
Having the bridge fixed again would be pretty sweet too when they get around to it. I keep looking the back for my tac officer and seeing a Reman sitting there.
Any chance you can tweak the Connie Refit? The shuttlebay and arrangement of firing points on the saucer make it a little odd. Since this is an iconic ship and all...
I can do this probably some day in the future. Not today.
I don't know... I'd do away with fleet logos altogether if I had it my way.
If you ever make a run for getting them to add a "none" option... and set it to default... just give me a poke, I'll rally for you.
Seriously, I hate the fleet emblems on ships.

I 2nd that! I cant stand having that logo on my ship. Sadly my fleet logo isn't much better so I'm stuck either way. I would love to go without a logo or those stripes.

Is the goal to make everyone part federation feel more like the same fleet? I don't think I understand why reducing fleet individuality would be desirable?

Yes PLEASE CaptnLogan give my Intrepid some love!!!!!
Yes definitely, aside from the fact that CapnLogan already gave the Intrepid some love last year, and that the Prometheus is finally getting its long overdue love now.

The Advanced Escorts as a whole got "love" (and pretty much entirely rebuilt if I recall correctly) with the MVAM update. That was... what, three months ago?

Afraid not, the only changes that was made was seperation geometry pretty much, most of the old major faults with the model still persist(which Logan is fixing now)
Correct. Side not the only reason I made any changes yesterday to Prometheus art was because I was notified of an actual bug associated with the art and not canon inconsistencies.
Just putting it out there that right now I am not free to update canon inconsistencies right now, I'm making tons of new content and won't be updating any old models for ..... probably a loooooong time.
I am free to fix bugs though, so if a bug report reaches my desk via my supervisor I'll usually check on that ship to see if there's anything I can update.

i agree with this a few small canon inconsistencies are nothing compared to the art of new ships, including the Enterprise-F and the new variants

Well, it certainly looked a fair amount better than before. I fly the MVAM and flew the Advanced previously. There were noticeable improvements to my eye from one to the other. Like the forward lights on the impulse engines, which certainly weren't there at launch. And the rear of the ship looked entirely different and much improved. Though I suppose those changes could have been made a bit earlier while I was flying the Defiant-Refit. Still, the model has seen attention at some point after the release of the Fed refits. It hasn't exactly been languishing for years.
And really, there aren't what I would call "major faults" in the model. You're making mountains out of molehills. The slope of the undercarriage and the colour of the engines. That's small potatoes.
Take a look at VengefulDjinn's post to see major flaws. Or take a look at how the B'rel has large glowing engines on it's pylons that aren't even supposed to exist.

Why do so many of the ships have their UFP decals upside-down? The Commander rank Science ships have the same problem.
I *completely* agree about this. The Federation decals really need to be looked at and adjusted to proper orientation on a *lot* of ships.

Don't forget the Intrepid on your someday calendar!
I've been freakin asking for this since beta...
For the love of god give us a blasted "none" option. There's no way this could possibly be that hard!
Go get 'im Capn and give them a good what-for with your adamantium wacom tablet pen...
Yes PLEASE CaptnLogan give my Intrepid some love!!!!!
What it SHOULD look like:

http://i1085.photobucket.com/albums/j432/lancemikemack/intrepid1.png
Also could you smooth the saucer a little? Please?
and what it currently looks like:
http://i1085.photobucket.com/albums/j432/lancemikemack/roswellsaucer.jpg
It also needs some work from behind too:
There are some weird saucer hull geometry in the back
it's missing landing bay markings
the landing bay door needs to be pushed in a tad, so that the primary hull overlaps a tad
the nacelles are a tad too "boxy"
here's what it should look like:
http://i1085.photobucket.com/albums/j432/lancemikemack/3_4_021.jpg
http://i1085.photobucket.com/albums/j432/lancemikemack/03.jpg
and what it looks like now:
http://i1085.photobucket.com/albums/j432/lancemikemack/roswellrear.jpg
Thanks! And oh how is the Enterprise F looking? and screenies on it's progress?
Your the best! if you gave the Intrepid the same love you gave the Galaxy and the Sovereign it will look awesome!
Edit: Btw Logan, don't forget about the impulse engines for the Beta and Gamma sections, which are located further in than the Alpha sections engines.

You can just barely make out the grills on both the lower and middle section here(though they are not lit up in this particular shot for some reason):

Looks very wierd right now when seperated and you have impulse trails coming out of solid hull.

Uh... why?
