I hope the Prometheus model gets a look over and some corrections. I do.

But, hey, get in line. There are other premium ships that have come out before the MV Advanced Escort that need to be fixed as well (two that are a lot more expensive). I want them to fix the issues with the Prometheus, but after they fix *much* more obvious graphical issues on previous ships.

The Prometheus definitely needs some graphical love but so do a lot of other ships, uniforms, and so on. The thing is, Cryptic tends to create a piece of content, releases it even though it's no where near perfect, and then leaves us stuck with the horrible abomination for ages. This greatly bothers me for content I've paid for as well, hence the Galaxy X and the AGT uniforms.

    Edit: Fixed!

I understand that there are many thigs what need to be fixed, but im really happy that those things are in game even if they have minor(for me minor at least) graphical bugs. Devs worked hard to get us those stuffs and ppl dont have time to wait a nearly perfect release of them. PPL cry about no content, no new stuff etc. Its not just Cryptic's fault. They arent gods or Qs to just let it happen, and ppl want it always NOW! . I found in all old or new games a LOT of bugs what was never fixed and will never be fixed.

Maybe its a bad excuse, but i better play a bit graphical bugged MVAM ship and wait for fixes, than waiting 2 more months for it.

    Just IMO

I completely disagree! I'd much rather wait an extra two months than have something half-arsed! I wonder what sort of consumer protection is out there for those who purchase something digitally and get something half finished and or broken. I just might have to look into that since my AGT uniforms STILL have the rank pin clipping issue. I paid real money for that and I'm clearly not happy with Cryptic's disappointingly bugged result!

I cant count how many times i heard: I leave game if they dont release this and that soon etc....And "minor" graphical bugs dont disappointing me.

Yeah! Cryptic needs to stop giving into those empty threats about leaving if they don't released a half finish item in-game. I think there's more than just minor graphical issues wrong with the Prometheus. The pets in their current state might as well just fly around in circles when in MVAM because they're absolutely useless. There are so many issues that have been mentioned in various threads. But... it'll get pushed out the door on Thursday, tons will buy it, and the many bugs and issues with the ship will slowly be forgotten over time with nothing being fixed!

I get to see the shadow of Atari on the ground.
If we disable the kit, it remains only one annoying bug. You can see two blue lines floating in space.

Instead they should pay attention to the empty threats about leaving if things aren't 100% perfect according to certain players.

Honestly, I'd just be happy if they fixed MVAM mode so my ship isn't always a Prometheus when I redock. :D

This post is funny. It's one little curve. And the ship still looks awesome. I don't see why it's such a big deal.

I remember reading posts like this one when the Galaxy was so full of errors. People actually told me they didn't see any errors on the galaxy, rofl

Anyway, even though I don't fly one, fix the Prometheus. The devil is always in the details.

    Hey AlexRaptor,

I'm gonna spend a little time today and work on the lower hull for you, and for the ppl that also posted about this.

    Cheers!

i donno what modeling techniques are used but the one i use, and others seem to use is similar to this:

    http://www.stexcalibur.com/forum/index.php/topic,5359.0.html
    and
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XKef2dTEsPo&feature=player_embedded

this technique works really well for me, and seems to be popular enough for these developers to adopt it as well. i hope this helps in the future to avoid mesh errors and geometry mistakes, such as the ones found here and elsewhere :) if nothing else, it may draw some inspiration.

I believe that a engine issue, the animation of the Re-Dock is not done the same way as the undock, the way the do the 'docking' can't tell what your parts costumes are... Or something.

Good info fellas. Not gonna get every last detail in here today, but I'm gonna fix the general shape of the lower hull section. Also, the detail panels below the pylons- i'll make those correct.

We've developed the tech for this... but still need to do some data-side stuff to get it implemented. Sending it off to Al Rivera to finish up some time... you may not see this in right at Season 4 launch, but should be shortly after. Enjoy!

BTW, is the Oberth next on the list? After the discovery of those new model pictures from John Eave's Blog?

Not sure what you used but seems there are a few things left out, like that silver dome at the bottom of the saucer.

While you're poking at the Prometheus, think you could take a wack at a few issues about the Hephaestus saucer?

I am so very much looking forward to this. :)

Just wish whoever is in charge of bridges would fix the BO seating on the prometheus bridge, which got broken when Season 3 launched.

    One more thing, sorry..

The Impulse Engines on the Prometheus saucer should be white, with a tinge of blue.

To me its Cyan, like the NX.

But this might be one of the standards CBS mentioned regarding colors a long time ago. Even Raptors had blue Impulse engines. Maybe someday engine color can be determined by the type of engine you have equipped like Hypers being tinged cyan, regular Impulse being Red and Combat be a type of redish amber.

Come to think of it, wonder why B'Rels have side Impulse Engines when the Impulse Engine was on top of the Warp Drive?

I hate those added engines on the B'rel pylons. Now those are something that need to be fixed.

    Hey Logan...

Any chance you can tweak the Connie Refit? The shuttlebay and arrangement of firing points on the saucer make it a little odd. Since this is an iconic ship and all...

Yeah, there should be 3 Windows on the front edge of the saucer on the TOS connie.

LOL, sorry for dumping all this on you Capt.

BTW, think you can get clearance to make a list of ships we are likely to see soon other than the Ambassador and the new Enterprise?
