C-Store Melee Weapon Pack

I 'Today' bought the Melee Weapon Pack from the C-Store expecting since i've paid alot of Cryptic Points for it to get something that is better than what can be crafted or bought on the exchange. Seems i was wrong :(

I compared the Bat'leth i got from the C-Store with the purple one you can buy on the exchange. Theres no sense in how a weapon that people are paying real money for can be worse than one you can buy with ingame currency.

Personal Feelings, the melee weapons i buy from the C-Store should be something special right? maybe?

Purple and not green?
Better than the purple batleth you can get off the exchange?

I totally agree with you. I bought the c-store melee weapon pack, too. I do not really care, if it is uncommon, rare or very rare. What maces me very angry is one other thing.

Why does the MK XI very rare vulcan melle weapon use a critical severity bonus which is twice as strong as the critical severity bonus of the uncommon c-store version?

We paid real money for the c-store items!!! They are useless, comparing them to the ingame items. So PLEASE change the c-store items or make them free and give us back our money!

In Germany we call this "Abzocke!!!"

The website c-store does say that they are of the uncommon variety. And the c-store's purpose is to provide cosmetic items. The ships were an exception but cryptic is beginning to reprimand this issue (c-store ships being bought with emblems).

I think that they level up with you too, they are currently the only melee weapons that do so.

My advice, check into what your buying before you feel cheated.

Putting aside the quality differences giving different bonuses - I don't mind that much, its to be expected - one of the interesting things is that the C-Store items, which level up with you, actually have less DPS than what should be the 'equivalent' of their level.

IE: The Mk XI Lirpa does 43 DPS, where as the 'scaling' Lirpa/Bat'leth do 41 DPS. If this were a Mk XII weapon you can craft, the increased DPS might be understandable, but I am somewhat surprised at the DPS difference (which does equate to a fair damage difference per-swing). I suppose the idea is that 'scaling' items are not quite as good as 'proper' weapons, but it still seems odd.

Though back on the quality issue - I am somewhat surprised that it is an uncommon scaling item, as scaling items in the past tended to be rare.

I like the way they did it.

Don't want to spend the time to craft in game. You can get it instantly, but its slightly cruddier.
