As far as I know, fist / claw damage is unaffected by blazing arrow, bow mastery, or dex. And since skills can't be used along with it, just primarily normal attacks, wouldn't the boost be greater from an elemental gem?

Ok, so how would these gems compare when being considered for a fist / claw?

on your part? no. On their part? yes.

While it is true that Garnets > Rubys, an incomparable ruby has roughly the same boost as 3 immaculate garnets. The fire boost doesn't affect skills (I don't think anyways) but it does affect regular attacks...I'd love it if you'd back your reasoning up with something. (BTW, your coral argument makes no sense)

I used take aim for a long time in PVE. At this point, I have pretty much abandoned it, except for rare occasions when I need a big hit, and deadly shot is on cooldown. It can be effective as an opener against higher level mobs, or mobs that are going to take a little extra effort (Elite mobs, increased defense mobs, etc…

Chaotiic, for a sage archer with sage Take Aim, theres not really much comparison...assuming you've got a good weapon, the 500% on sage Take Aim will win out, assuming you've got a decent enough weapon, and I tried to show at just how decent of a weapon you'd need for that to be true. Also, your statement only applies to…

b:chuckle This thread sure did fall apart quickly. I'm going to avoid giving just my opinion, and actually try and provide some information that will help us understand the Take Aim Vs. Deadly Shot argument. Before I start, here are some abbreviations I'll use: B = Base Damage - This is found in your character window and…

I personally don't use frost arrow myself, but use a different set of skills to kill the mobs. Low mana cost, low damage: Take Aim > Normal > Knockback > Normal till dead Higher mana cost, higher damage (for now): Deadly Shot > Serrated Arrow > Knockback > Normal till dead.

Thanks so much for posting this information. I don't come to the boards very often, but I'm glad to find good information when I do. I found it interesting that the Qingfu made much a strong showing in all of the catagories. It appears to be one of the best all-around non-rare pets listed. Crystalline Magmite is nice of…
