The event was overall LAME. It is always a KS fest and it really made that worse. I see participation dropping significantly if it stays this way. It won't be worth much to bother with the mobs and the event will take longer as people just wait at the boss spawn to get their points.

Actually it never happened before the cat shop glitch "fix". Whenever someone didn't have a talisman the quest would fail but you would not lose the talisman. The quest just failed and you could stay and talk to the NPC again. It really is a problem but I don't see any fixes for it unless many many people complain.

A reasonable post at last! Side by side the regular nirvana wins in all aspects. Casters do get better drop rates but with less boss's that take longer to kill and no ability to do a 99 key run at all. I never wc for weapon link in my caster runs. Now having said that I have asked for random things to link like boots just to poke fun. I do agree a normal Nirvana run is faster but many of the caster runs I have done take about 15-20 minutes. One R9/OP caster can make a ton of difference though and speed up the run significantly but also one person that does not know what they are doing can cause squad wipes.

From what I am seeing when I am on (HT) caster squads don't exist. I have managed to do 2 but you are lucky to see a shout for caster squads. Clerics found that it is quicker to just do normal nirvs and others say it is faster just to play their aps toons.
