Ah phew, figured out a way around the charge. All you have to do is charge $10 two times. No extra charge on that. Thanks for the help :).

I am pretty sure you can only change armor once every 10 levels. And usually people keep weps for around 10 levels before switching. EDIT: o I'm not totally sure about this but I'm pretty sure there is no effect ingame that gives you half mp or hp back.
