Gold prices are so high because no one really plays this game much anymore, so less people buy gold, so less of it exists to sell. People will not sell gold at 4m regardless of if the cap exists or not; if PW wants to charge 10293810982301938 gold for R9, sorry, but it's going to be in high demand, regardless of the…

Sweetiebot please open 1000 Anniversary Packs for me and I'll love you :3

Merging my comment in another thread into the main one:

Maybe this is a cash grab to make up for the fact that their stocks just hardcore crashed: http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2014-05-20/perfect-world-plunges-as-profit-margin-narrows-china-overnight.html Good to see that bad decisions actually do get punished, if extremely slowly.
-
Well this will be interesting. What qualifies as punishment? Perma-bans? Orb Removal? Personally I think permabans are too harsh, especially since this is mostly the fault of PWI. Without the obnoxious red spam, no one would have noticed; a lot of people took advantage of this to some degree, and honestly, I don't blame…
-
Please was one of my most often used words? Yay, I'm a gentleman.
-
This is a terrible metaphor, there is no money being lost because the orbs are essentially worthless since they are untradeable, IE people who didn't get them still have to fork out coins to buy them. A more accurate comparison would be if a company decided to give out a million dollars and decided the best way to do so…

I feel like half the people in this thread are two steps away from screaming "fight me IRL bro"
-
You have no way in code of differentiating between people who spam clicked the button, and people who just clicked it once (or maybe twice because it wasn't loading) and had multiple requests sent to the server.
-
Does anyone here actually read.
-
You just banned most people on every server, some of whom only sent the code one time, but which was processed by the server multiple times. Good job!
-
Your choices are biased, where is the "no but PW is doing a terrible job" option?
-
You might be consuming too much media.
-
Part of me wonders how restricted a CM would be, honestly.
-
They aren't losing money, the entire game is designed around the "whale" type sales model, where they make their money off of the 1% of the playerbase who are willing to spend 10,000+ dollars on a game.
-
Considering this thread is now just two people insulting each other I'm done posting in it. I made my point and there is not any real discussion to be had here.
-
Why don't we keep this a civil conversation that doesn't involve everyone else's personal life, assuming there is a conversation to be had. And for the record your logic is some of the worst I've ever seen, because: a) I'm already playing other games until this is over, and b) "wasting my time" only happens when my time…
-
What if we already have a job, and a life, and don't have the time to deal with companies that disrespect and waste our time?
-
Yu-Gi-Oh has a system where rares are straight upgrades to commons, where-as you can build good decks from commons in Magic. Magic the Gathering is for the thinking man, YuGiOh is for people that want to feel good about spending money on cards.
-
No sane person wants to be a community manager for a game that commits PR suicide every 1-2 months.
-
If a rollback occurs there is literally no point to doing anything in game until it happens. Hence many people are currently not playing, and stalking the forums until at the very least an official announcement is made.
-
Well maybe if PWI actually did something about it, people would stop talking about it. Funny how that works.
-
I don't really understand what was so difficult about just mailing each player the bound rewards like have done for every single promotion they had ever done in the history of the game. This whole thing to me smells like "well we didn't do this right, might as well give the code to everyone, oh wait it's broken and can be…
-
yes let's all ban the 4 people that still play for a coding failure on PWIs behalf. Brilliant.
-
The current warning comes up for basically anything that isn't white named and doesn't mean much. Personally I don't think that the failures of the devs should be overlooked because even if the mistake is easilly avoidable it is still possible, and shouldn't be possible to begin with.
-
Aaaaand no one can attack anything. If we're lucky maybe it will bug and send us all 99999999999 tokens. Would love to see the devs try to deal with that mess.

Then I misunderstood the point, I was assuming they were just plain gone.

If they ever permanently take R9 medals out of the boutique, they are truely idiots and might as well shut down the servers the same day. Regardless of whether you think R9 was a good or bad idea, removing rank 9 mats after it has been there for a few years now permanently shuts down the fairness of the end game for non R9…
