I am happy that inactive names are NOT deleted. I would have been very sad to come back after a 2+ year absence and find my characters gone.

It's a given that you have good gear; that's a basic requirement for playing any class. And you did notice that I said it really helps to know your skills when it comes time to tank instances (even though I've been through plenty of instances with barbs who obviously didn't know them, and no one died).

I play both a veno and a barb, and I love them both for different reasons. (By the way, it isn't at all obvious that you're female if you want to play a veno -- there are a lot of venos played by men and a lot of barbs played by women.) Actually, no, they're not. I'm very happy they upgraded the graphics. I wish they'd gone further with it, to a more recent version of DirectX, rather than one that's 5 years out of date, but it's better than nothing for sure! The graphics were starting to look really outdated, and *that* would eventually alienate me.

Don't roll your eyes too hard; it actually does make sense. Most of the Japanese kanji were adopted from Chinese, and they still have the same meanings as the Chinese characters, even though they sound entirely different when spoken.

I got fashion! Psychic looks good in it; it's a nice blend of fuchsia, periwinkle, and purple that goes well with his hot pink hair and purple skin. Plus his whole mein is kind of foofy so it goes well with that. But on my barb it just looks...disturbing.

Buy yourself some guardian scrolls, then you won't drop items when someone kills you. Problem solved. They are cheap in the boutique, or you can sometimes find them in catshops.

It's most certainly possible to play left-handed. I've spent the last 2 months playing with only my left hand (which is my non-dominant hand) on an almost daily basis. My right hand is out of commission due to a broken shoulder.
