All of the above posts are good ways to set up your hotkeys, but I would recommend you build it yourself and make sure you're comfortable with it. Hmm... I'd would say that both pure mag, vit build and hybrid are ALL valid builds for endgame. Your decision should depend more on your preferences, gear and playstyle. The only time I equip all class pets on my veno is when she's running her FBs with a full squad, and when I'm sure that she won't need her herc. It's cute, albeit impractical.

I'd like to add that the mobs around Arch are excellent for lvling nixes until your early twenties. When your nix is in its 30's, it can kill the staunch worms reasonably quickly. =)
