There's no need to liquidate any assets if you're prepared for a sale or an "event" such as this. I had about 350 gold that I bought for around 330-350k per over the week prior to Coral being released. Like I said, I only keep around 500k- 1 mil on me and the rest (profits from catshopping) are all in gold.

Coins are worthless. That's why I only keep around 1 mil coins on me and the rest are in the form of gold and consumable boutique items/tokens. Remember, coins depreciate while gold, when bought at the right time, appreciate.
