Nope. Just because you're unable to join squads or and team up with people, doesnt mean the game's too hard. There's pently of BHs and rebirthing is easy enough.

What about a running skill that only works when you're out of combat? Hardly breaks luring/pking but gets around faster.

Go with the cleric in arcane armor. Clerics have it ten times easier to get into squads for stuff and farming.
