NRGLG - Heavens Tear Arc User

Comments

  • Four posts back I explained a ticket that michaeljz had gotten (had to be removed due to rule 8). They, more-or-less, confirmed the issue as a mistake and that they are working on a resolution for it. For now you can use the bypass if you already have PWI installed. If not, then I guess just sit back and wait...or don't.…
  • Awe, you removed my message of peace and understanding. At least some of it should have stayed. b:surrender
  • The blinking 1 isn't the same UI object as the quick bar is it? I've never seen the blinking 1 before. It'd be nice if these unused Chinese features would just be visibly disabled in PWI.
  • It's a rule that you can't put the content of a ticket in a post. To sum it up though, they basically said that it was in fact a mistake and that a resolution is currently in progress. Until then the bypass is the current quickest resolution. Although not for people who are trying to install it new. Side note: I saw that…
  • ...okay? I have a multi-thousand dollar computer I built with a graphics card that can play GTA V on max settings, but so what? Games should be played because you enjoy them, not because your graphics card can manipulate and render lots of pretty triangles.
  • You again... Seriously? You do realize this isn't trolling right? Trolling is clever and entertaining. This is neither. Go back to the dwelling from whence you came.
  • I gave instructions here: http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showpost.php?p=22451171&postcount=2
  • Yes it is. If you don't believe it, just go ahead of monitor the GPU usage while the game is running.
  • b:chuckle I did not expect that reference. I just stuck that bypass bit I put back on page six on my first post on this thread (post 2). Hoping to resolve people's confusion a bit quicker since they are likely to go from page 1 straight to the last page.
  • I was examining Arc's files and found some interesting things... "d:\jenkins\cc_ci_compile\coreclient\references\libbase\win\Thread.cpp" "d:\Jenkins\CC_CI_Compile\CoreClient\src\Release\Arc" "d:\Jenkins\CC_CI_Compile\CoreClient\src\Release\ArcSDK" Now my question is, who is Jenkins and why did they compile it wrong? That's…
  • Arc XP does not actually allow you to run Arc on XP. It was a name to poke fun at Arc. It does the same exact thing as the batch files. It should be. It's the way Arc XP works as well.
  • I provided the source code for it inside the zip so that people who don't trust it could look or even compile it for themselves. There really isn't much to it. I just did what the batch files do and then combined it with a simple and straightforward interface. Yes it has; courtesy of a 3 litter bottle of Mountain Dew.…
  • *sigh* I keep having to reexplain because all of you posting new comments didn't bother to read the entire thread. I'm not even going to bother to address it this time. I'm just, meh. Go read the thread. I do advocate piracy. I also advocate open source software. The reason I advocate piracy is because I was poor for a…
  • I'm going to direct you to this thread: http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=1752711
  • b:infuriated Maybe I should have said "dot net" 2.0. It has nothing to do with the internet. It was just a stupid name for a great framework. I know its history, but I still think the name is bad.
  • I just finished a program with a simplistic interface that should make it easy to bypass Arc. Source code is included in program. You will need .NET 2.0. Which I kind of just assume most people have installed by now through Windows Update. Download: http://www.nrgs.org/dev/arcxp/ArcXP.zip
  • Not only was it covered, but you would've realized that I was talking from multiple viewpoints. The reason was because I was jacked up on caffeine and have a tendency to start trolling and getting weird when I do. I actually had a caffeine hangover this morning. Read the bottom section of this post to get an idea of what…
  • If you don't care about Arc, there is no problem if you just use the Arc bypass. --- You know what? I'm going to create a small program today for all of you having issues. It will run PWI for you until Arc is fixed. I will call it "Arc XP because PWE Derpped". It shouldn't take me more than an hour. Done:…
  • Actually, Windows Vista is the minimum OS required to run Arc at the moment. It would be stupid of them to make Windows 8 the minimum, since Windows 7 is the overwhelming majority still. Either way, I still think this is a mistake they will reconcile shortly (well, shortly by PWE standards). Until then, teach people how to…
  • You need to use the bypass Arc methods to run the game until they, I assume, recompile it to work with XP. This mistake could be made by any programmer who is careless with build settings. I've done it before, other's have done it before, and PWE likely did it here.
  • For everyone wondering why they didn't just use a code. The reason they would have a login event like this is likely to falsify/exaggerate their player base statistics for investors. With this they could say that 2 weeks in a row they had at least X number of players online each day. Pretty magical, right? Unrelated, but…
  • Try playing Minecraft in a dark and quiet room with no music and dark in-game lighting. It can be a surprisingly great horror game.
  • Because they are confused about how to bypass it. @Vanflyheight They compiled Arc for Vista and newer systems. At the moment, the only way to resolve this, would be to upgrade your OS. However, at the same time, this was probably just another mistake, as per the usual. Although they still have not made any mention about…
  • Like the company that made XP? Who stopped supporting it a few years back. b:chuckle I actually gave a pretty good overview from multiple viewpoints about this issue. Overall, the side leaning to not support XP is high, but at the same time there is also no reason why not to support it, since Arc isn't exactly using…
  • What the ****? DON'T REPLACE KERNAL32.DLL ON YOUR SYSTEM! Okay, for the love of god, please don't do anything like this anyone. For anyone that has made this mistake already, please open up command prompt and run "sfc /scannow"
  • Nah, PWE isn't known to ignore anything that could lose them money. I'm pretty sure they will fix this faster than you can blink. Also, I managed to sum up the various viewpoints I was portraying. I follow none of them. I don't care about this, Arc, or anything else. That's the real clarification I should have made. I was…
  • Damn right, you wretched XP user. Yup, I can tell you didn't read all of my posts. So I guess I shouldn't bother to read yours, huh? Nah, I'm nicer than that. I do think people should not be driving around in old cars. It's outright unsafe. You can not disagree with this, as it is fact. Same with old OSes actually. Also,…
  • *PDT (since PST is PDT during daylight savings) 12AM UTC is 5PM PDT. So 5PM is the day turnover. From my experience, just the game.
  • Not when self-employed. Previously, I was better off. I wanted to try something different. It's not working as well so far. Although it does give me a lot of time to view lots of different forums. I actually make 99% of my living from the other half of my employment, fixing computers. To be fair to you, I have both a…
  • Maybe there's some hardcore esoteric programming language they have to write in, like Malbolge, that keeps messing them up. That would explain everything and make PWE look pretty cool for daring to use esoteric programming languages in real life software. b:cool
