Well, I recently got the lvl 30 Eagles Wings. I got to keep my white wings. I had 3 points in flight mastery (not knowing they only affected Eagles Wings). For now I have been using all light armor. When I have to solo stuff I typically use winged shell to stay alive. Usually I try to party with others, so I don't have to be the tank.
