I noticed that too until I realized that the after-cast animation was taking a while so I could only use about 1-2 more attacks

I don't really mind maxing out anolian blade since that's a decent damage/stun skill so I can get off something else and drake's ray or w/e is (for now?) my only long range attack at the moment. I was dumb and got tiger maw to 5 along with blood but I use those so I don't see that as spirit wasted

I dont' see anything wrong with the fact that the GM's apologized and even compensated by giving out more items than they really should. You guys are doing pretty good.

imo you should be looking at getting some coin first because you will be getting a lot of spirit much later in your levels
