Kyna your concept sketches are awesome! Nice job hon. I always thought it would be cool to have 'female barbarians', perhaps in the options of a Leopard/Cheetah/Black Panther/Wolf. As for male venomancers, I think it'd be nice to give them options as well. Maybe as stags with antlers? Or grizzly bears? Or, the demon…

np hon, and Merry Christmas to you as well. :) If you do take more screenies, and want to try to post others, I'll be happy to take a look at them. But I'm heading out of town for a few days... so I'll keep an eye on the thread when I return. Ciao for now, Kizzy

Grippie, I could only open one of the two images that you linked to, and unfortunately the quality of that image really didn't provide enough for me to work with. I just couldn't get anything I liked out of it. Good luck. Dragon_slayr, here is a quickie I worked up. Feel free to use it if you like. I don't really make…

Marche, thank you for being so dear, and saying all the kind things that you have these past few days. I truly appreciate your friendship and support, just as I do that of my other friends in Kylin. I agree that these threads should stop being posted on the PWI forum, and the discussion taken back to the guild, however, I…

b:chuckle Clever Ligeia. Perhaps even 'Longfellow', and I'm not referring to his endowments. b:laugh

You were NOT being compared to MLK. The comment made merely asked us to think, would his important message -- the "I have a dream..." speech --have made as much impact if he had done it 'incognito' and not openly and bravely, as he DID do it, by putting *himself* out there. To be fully 'transparent', you must take…

Oh another general thought to share... I think being on the Internet, and using 'net speak', has really effected writing styles and, unfortunately, has curbed people away from proper sentence structure. I'm certainly no authority on the matter, but I do try hard to constantly improve my writing in all of the areas that I…

Hi Grippie! Thanks for sharing your work with us. Here is some feedback: 1. Hone your punctuation, spelling and grammar. That is a key element to helping the reader follow your thought processes, and it will help make your writing style seem more 'mature' as you put it. 2. The subject matter was great, but some of the…

Hi Kyna, and fellow fan-fiction writers! Just wanted to post, since I haven't in months, and let you know that I haven't given up the pen (keyboard)... but I have been on hiatus. The Kismet Diaries will hopefully continue in 2010, however the story arc may 're-roll' as some changes in game have uninspired my original flow.…

Wow Froan... you seriously think I would post something as ridiculous as this? And here I thought you *knew me*. b:sad Kylin is a good faction, regardless of what the haters want to say about it. I would never say anything bad against Kylin, and to think that I would just shows me that you never really knew me at all.

Cool flash fiction Nukesrus! Thanks for sharing it with us. Hope you'll be posting more soon... and that you can develop some of the chars a bit further. :)

In my current story, The Kismet Diaries, my character exists within the realm Perfect World. It is not a game... it's her actual life. While my story began in fun, as part of an 'Origins' contest hosted by my faction, I have enjoyed expanding upon her history and adventures on Harshlands. While I try to integrate as many…

The Kismet Diaries http://www.fanfiction.net/~pwikismet --- Well the new chapter is out! It didn't take long to write, but I personally wanted the pace to be a little faster and found myself editing and re-editing. If you haven't read the previous chapters, I encourage you to do so, so this one makes sense! New characters…

LOL Kyna... I'm working on Chapter 6 of The Kismet Diaries. I'll let you know once it has been posted. But in the meantime, how about a 'writers challenge'? Just something to keep our thought processes flowing. Use the following five words, all PWI related, and write some flash fiction of 250 words or less. That's not a…

Wow Jaeseu, nice work! I love the embellishments on the dress and the soft, complimentary background. I have been trying to color the image myself, but wow it's more difficult than I imagined. I may have to take a week or two to finish it... if I don't give up before then! ROFL

Just so you don't have to recreate the wheel Kyna, I did find this website online that has info about digital coloring. Maybe it will help! http://www.tomrichmond.com/blog/2007/03/26/digital-color-tutorial-part-one/

Coloring images truly is an artform, not to mention therapeutic. To get all the highlights, mid-tones and shadows in an image... to give it dimension... takes a lot of skill. I agree with Kyna, that I don't take well to sarcasm of the arts. At least when it's ill-timed and seems more ignorant, than intelligent ribbing.…

Nice revision! What program do you use to create your signatures? I'm using Photoshop 7.0 (old version that I love, even though I have CS).

And finally, these are some custom avatars that I illustrated for friends in a different game -- but wanted to share as well. :)

Here are a few more that I have done:

I'd like to see the topic get back on track too, but I'm surprised you posted this andracil. I have seen much greater "flaming" on other threads in this forum that seems to go on and on without moderator intervention. No offense to you or the other moderators of course, just stating that I didn't see this as a severe…

Wow, just wonderful! I noticed you had no sheet music and made it look so effortless. It sounded beautiful, and I especially liked the final notes -- that you made look like an afterthought -- then the casual leg tappings. Such modesty! Such talent! Thanks again for sharing.

What a clever way to do a comic strip! Funny stuff! b:chuckle

Kyna wow! I love your story! I just read through all seven chapters and I can't wait to see what's next. :) Your writing style has a great pace to it... everything flows so smoothly. A real pleasure to read! Keep up the great work. Kismet

I know... it's a really big word for you. But you did it Belle! You actually READ something. Good girl. Now keep pronouncing those words very slowly and if you get stuck on another 7-letter word... just let me know.

First of all, you do lovely artwork, thanks for sharing links! Second, while it's not unusal to 'commission' your services for money or trade as an artist, I do believe it's in violation of PW's ToS. See #10 (e) Unsolicited promotions, political campaigning, advertising or solicitations If this doesn't count as a…

Typeface = Font Sometimes playing with the font style and size can be enough to bring balance to your image. Play around with it, and see what you come up with. Maybe you can put the name of the server you play on, or info about your char, like class/faction. Remember if you use a larger version of the anime girl, but the…

Just read through the series and it's really great Scelatio! Love your artwork style, and the dialogue definitely made me chuckle... particularly CATOSAUR! b:victoryb:chuckle
