I re-downloaded and reinstalled the client and the hair issues seem to be fixed.

The re-download and reinstall seemed to do the trick :) I have hair!!!!! I totally agree about fixing existing bugs before adding new (and often bugged) features. i hope the re-dowload and reinstall works for you :)

I also have this problem and have grudgingly accepted that it's yet another bug which accompanies yet another update. The last time I logged in my character was bald to everyone, not just myself, so I'm doing a re-install of PWI. Probably won't sort the problem but it's worth a try. The fun is being sucked out of this game…

Yep, the manual patch does appear to be a lot faster.......even if it is a total of 1 hour 15 mins for me b:sad My man had been doing an auto update for 10 hrs and was just about finished when he decided to try the manual patch. He was up and running in 5 minutes.
