I have this problem too, I'm on windows 7 x64, and on laptop. When this happens, I just restart the game until it starts the way it should be and I play ^^ (sometimes needs 5-6 restarts, but some days I'm just lucky)

Why don't PW staff just make a NPC in-game, from which we could get our blessings?!
