The monster drifting hex lantern is either incorrectly placed or has an incorrect type assigned to it. They spawn under water and are flying types therefore they take half damage when you attack them while swimming. I'd say fail dd and cleric. Mostly dd though since pulling aggro on some bosses causes them to switch from single target phys to aoe mag that can easily kill any heavy armor class there. The psychic skill earth vector seems to aggro monsters outside of it's aoe range. Noticed it at first around Tusk Town and again on Nightscream Island.
