  • Some people were reporting that they did exactly what you said and couldn't get in, but I guess I'll try it myself when I get the chance. Thanks for the tip b:thanks
  • If you're talking about the enormous behemoth bosses, vortex and the other skills do work. They made the models so huge that you have to move closer to their "targeting circle" for them to work. This problem occurs with other class's skills (i.e. BM glacial spike) and other large scale bosses (i.e. Holeen). IMO, it's a…
  • If you go sage, you can get a skill that adds 50 chi every 60 seconds. Also, there's a genie skill called cloud eruption for getting a spark + x chi. Enough chi for you? b:chuckle
  • I hear ya. b:sweat Some people use games like this much like competitive FPS players. It's an activity in which some want to express pride in completing "unique" tasks that sets them above other players according to a specific standard such as gear, play skill, etc. Compare this to a guy that builds his own car against…

  • I got to level 30 on the EG starter area, realizing the quests seemed never-ending, before I was able to start the chain before 29 culti b:shocked. This was during the 2x exp event when EG were released.
  • Seekers are pretty much a compilation of some features I like when it comes to choosing a character: -uses sword/blade weapons (influenced by Final Fantasy games) -debuffs -can support squad damage -able to withstand heavy hits -has some awesome AoE (flashy-looking, too) -skill-based, sometimes involving skill chains…
  • Posting prices won't do any good; I've seen crazy variants of sage book prices on our server. Just scan the catshops near west teleport or check the auction house.
  • For gear, you need at least 5 STR/3 DEX every two levels. You have two extra points that you can spend where you please. You basically want to reach at least these requirements on the way to 100: Minimum amount of STR needed for gear by endgame = 255 Minimum amount of DEX needed for gear by endgame = 155
  • They actually put a time limit in the weapon/gear description; at least I'm certain I noticed one during my seeker's earlier levels. They mentioned the addition in the game updates a while back. Single sword/blades hit faster, while dual sword/blades can hit harder. Choose whichever style you like better. Eventually,…
  • Yeah, I always thought those newly added timed weapons/gear would be pretty confusing for newer players. :/ They should have a popup that tells you about it or have it expire with said popup when the player has reached a certain level.
  • I thought you said you were fine farming with your seeker? :P
  • Several times people have found themselves lost in the advice on what skills to level up in my skills section. I thought the color code would be enough, but I guess it's not working for some. Any suggestions on how I could make it easier to read/understand? Should I just add a list at the end of that section, indicating…
  • There is no set "ultimate/mega/uber/super/etc" formula that seekers follow. This question comes up very often, so I can only give you a formula that gets you started. You get 5 points to distribute per level, so you will need at least 5 STR and 3 DEX every two levels, which leaves you with two extra points to put where you…
  • You're going to learn nearly all the skills by endgame. There are really no skills that are completely useless -- only skills that benefit you more than others in the earlier parts of the game. I color coded them by importance, so it isn't explicitly stated in words. Refer to the color key I made at the top of the skills…
  • You'll probably end up maxing almost all your skill by endgame, but you'll be limited on coins and spirit earlier in the game, so invest wisely. Check out my stickied guide in the seeker forums if you want a bit of in-depth explanations about the use and importance of the skills. I've color coded them by my suggested…
  • Every 1 point in VIT gives your Seeker 15 more HP. Here's more info on seeker stats per level and points: http://pwi-wiki.perfectworld.com/index.php/Seeker
  • Also, remember that you only need a minimum dex of up to 160 (to wear all gears and reach the latest crit % breakpoint). Most of the build formulas you see for seekers are not meant to do up to lvl 100. They're just there to help you get started, so keep in mind the minimum requirements of gear you want to use by endgame.
  • That slope causes me to rubberband too many times b:surrender. Not to discourage you, but do you really need to do the full pull? Back when I did FC often to get to 100 and after realizing how laggy my PC (it's really old...) got from the mass amount of mobs, I decided to stop doing it and just not advertise myself as a…
  • Yep, this is true. This is one of the reasons why I find it hard to answer the question of those asking what's the "perfect" seeker stat build. You have to customize your build to complement the gear you plan to get and are certain you can obtain. I guess the best answer is minimum str and dex for gear, then customize the…
  • Dex should be capped at about 160 (at most, without any dex boost from items) to retain the crit breakpoint and reach the 154 minimum to wield any sword/blade in the game. More str is a bit of extra damage. Vit isn't really needed, especially if you plan on getting gear with refines/shards to help with the lack of HP. It's…
  • You can achieve that kind of damage with vortex under the same conditions as well b:victory
  • Here's the list from my genie section from my guide: http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showpost.php?p=12997281&postcount=4
  • The starting skill for zeal is called earthflame, which, as mentioned, allows you to lure a single mob within a group. Some players don't understand that their ranged skills aren't always going to lure mobs away properly. Sometimes, you may end up luring too many mobs with such an attack and can potentially wipe you and/or…
  • These are the most important basic skills in my opinion: -Blade and Sword Mastery -Adrenal Numbness -Northern Sky Waltz -Soulsever Minuet -Gemini Slash -Heart Seeker In the end, you will be maxing out nearly all your skills, but it's best to conserve spirit/coin for the ones that make the most impact on your gameplay if…
  • HP gear and refines make up for lack of VIT, which is why I personally don't feel the need to add VIT.
  • I think its likely due to the fact that the post-expansion debuff icon HUD has a limit to the number of debuffs it can display. The next time you're in a squad that can potentially add more than 6-8 debuffs simultaneously, test it out. They really need to fix that b:shocked.
  • I usually see a few (FC sign and/or various FC weapons) at west arch teleporter area at server's night time (EST).
  • I picked it up recently. You get everything it says on PWDatabase EXCEPT sage vortex and edged blur. I would guess they did not intend to add those to the clip, but instead make them for the Page of Fate books (that's where they are now) like the 59 skills of other classes.
  • Rawrgummy's post above says it all. By autoattack, I mean they just attack mobs/bosses without using any skills whatsoever. Using stances and triggering their effects is 1/3 of a seeker's capabilities. By autoattacking, they don't contribute optimally to team efforts to complete the task at hand. If they trigger the…
