  • With a pure dex build, they don't get to you anyway. I don't lose aggro on bosses, but on the way to bosses in dungeons, there are always archers/wizards who feel the need to attack what I'm not attacking, and I have to wind up trying to control aggro on 3 mobs at the same time. This usually doesn't end well. Overall, the…
  • Pretty much. I mean think about it, you already do massive damage. If you pull aggro off of the tank in a dungeon, you don't want to risk dying do you? Let's say you have around 1800 base HP. It's very possible between citrine gems and +vit add ons to have about an extra 1000 hp (i've seen pure archers around my level with…
  • As an archer (or any class for that matter really), You should try to get equipment with plus vit/HP. You should already have all the points you need from any build you're going for, so more survivability is good. But lets say you have 218 dex... trying to get something with +2 or more dex for that extra crit rate would be…
  • You're missing all the points that have been made.
  • b:chuckle Yep... but I don't have a faction chat, and I don't want to be in a faction for me to have a faction chat. And even if I did, I still don't want to miss the WCs that actually have something to offer.
  • Funny, I thought I'd have a bunch of people telling me to deal with it and calling me a QQer. Glad to know I'm not the only one who sees the stupidity in this.
  • Well, I shouldn't have to do that. Plus what if by doing that, I miss a WC that I actually want to see? Edit- beat me to it O.o
  • ...lol People tell me barbs should put in more dex or str if they want to pvp. Yet I'm a tank barb and I can still kick **** in pvp or duels. Our massive HP is what makes us hard to beat, and we have bloodbath to resolve our low accuracy. But I'm not gonna force anything on anyone. If you wanna go for a dex build, I'm not…
  • And yeah, pretty much this as well. My archer is pure dex as well and I can't imagine it any other way. You kill things long before they get to you, high crit rate, high accuracy and high evasion. There's no point in putting any vit. You can get extra vit/hp from armor.
  • ...lol Light Armor is the only choice for archers. Wearing heavy armor means you'd have too much strength to use a good enough weapon. Using arcane means you'd have magic, which is just dumb, along with not being able to use a good weapon.
  • Because it's TOTALLY not possible for people to have more than one class.
  • I'm pretty sure it's the level 70 armor. I'd say I'm about to find out soon enough, but I haven't been playing enough to really level up that fast anymore. You don't. It changes automatically depending on level.
  • Sage is for tanking (also cata-pulling in TW), demon is for PvP/PK. Sage has more health and defense while in tiger form, while demon focuses on stuff like increasing crit percent and damage.
  • Indeed, barbs are awesome. I made one because I was getting pissed with all the crappy barbs I had to deal with as a cleric. I still like playing as a cleric because of the awesome solo-ness and damage. But when I re rolled as a barb I was surprised as well, it was easier to level than I thought. And I love the massive HP…
  • ...we hold aggro. That's why we're the tanking class. Aside from the massive HP and physical defense.
  • I'm assuming those are physical mobs then? I'm just hating this level range right now. Everything uses magic damn it.
  • Once you hit 60 it's going to be a pain in the ****. Go level up alacrity of the beast right now before you regret it. Almost every mob 60+ is going to be magic, and tiger form is going to be your friend. They don't make good money because every other class can kill things significantly quicker. Remember no matter how you…
  • Hmm... well either way, I can't imagine not using a weapon for my level... I don't do nearly as much damage compared to my other classes, I would lose my mind while questing/grinding if I didn't have a weapon for my level. But yup, the point is, the best cata puller build is having the minimum str and dex for your armor…
  • I have ToP on every character as well. It's a nice backup when you're close to dying, a hell of a lot better than pots. Thing is, it's a hell of a lot more useful for barbs... and not for recovering lost HP... ToP + Armageddon = yay. Level 10 ToP gives 60% more HP, so that's 30% more arma damage. It's great.
  • I've done the same thing unintentionally, and when I went back into humanoid form to rebuff and put my axes back on, I noticed it was easier to hold aggro (I kept losing it for a second on some mobs, which isn't normal and I was wondering why). Flesh ream does cause a great deal of aggro, but the damage and bleed effect…
  • This, or what most people do is 3 str 1 vit and 1 dex every level until dex is capped out at either 49 or 60 dex (49 is the minimal requirement for endgame equipment so far, and 60 dex is just for that extra crit rate since every 20 dex points = 1 crit percent). I personally chose 60 dex. Then after that it's just 3 str…
  • As for holding aggro, use Roar and Alpha Male (genie skill) Then you could use Bestial Rage to gain the chi to use sunder or something. That's all I really know about it >.>
  • Roar is the one that resets aggro to a certain level. It should really only be used in emergencies to quickly grab aggro if you lose it from a bunch of mobs. Flesh ream is the real aggro skill. Against a boss all you have to do is keep using flesh ream, along with Alacrity and Surf Impact to make sure you generate the chi…
  • Sage is better for tanking, Demon is better for doing damage/PVP. Basically what Balligero said.
  • Poison Fang adds wood damage based on your normal damage. So adding physical attack shards would increase the effect of both of them, and strength of the titans, making them the better choice.
  • *walks into topic* rofl *walks out of topic*
  • LMAO. I know how you feel dude. I have a 66 cleric, but now I'm deciding to stick with my Barb. I love it. I went back on my cleric for a second to help someone with a BH in the FB29, and I tried walking through SP and ignoring all the mobs like I always do with my barb... and almost died. I was like WTF. I can't play as a…
  • It's totally up to you really. A cleric only gets 10 more hp per vit point. So at 50 vit, you'd have about 500 more hp than any pure magic. The problem is, is that still too low, and does it sacrifice too much damage? Again, totally up to you... I personally like the better survivability it grants me. You also have to…
  • Never LA. Clerics don't benefit from it the way Wizards do. Just either cap your vit somewhere around 50 and go pure mag from there, or just do pure mag. Add either PDef shards or HP shards to your armor.
