We are needed because archers are love.

Thank you to all who have contributed (special mention: Elena), and all who have read. It makes me smile to know that this piece written all those months ago is still here helping people :) -Sorry I'm not around, Annor

Ty both, already tried before but I'll fix it now... my last post was from my cell (Shhh... not a geek). I have my full powers at my disposal now ;) Glad you're still around Elena... at least in forummage... you scared me with your leaving talk o.o

Ooh thank you, i guess it always made sense that it should have. It doesn't change my position on viscious arrow though ;)
-
Sortof/Kindof~ ;)
-
With relation to the Knockback question, levelling it does not cripple your archer... it does make grinding/questing a bit less efficient though. Something you'll likely regret, but also get over ;)
-
I'm very glad to hear you like it :) I share the fairly mainstream opinion that viscious arrow is not worth the time and mana spent casting it. It's a 1.6 second channel/cast for relatively small amounts of damage, time that could be spent firing off regular shots. *Ammended for clarity: thanks Lady Elena*

Made some minor changes to the guide... been too long since I've played with it ;)

I can see why the 20 magic might have been alluring, you'll probably regret that one later though (restats are expensive, and that problem is short-lived). Putting more STR in for an archer than is required for light armor would at best be considered a variant, and by most be considered an utter waste. Pure (4 dex, 1 str)…

As a lot of you may have noticed I havent been actively following the thread recently as I used to, real life distractions and other such lameness. Anyway, I've started to ease myself back into the game (It has been a little bit overwhelming surprisingly), and I expect to resume my active presence here. My apologies for…

Always glad to be of assistance :)
-
I figured if you were reading the second post, you'd already read the guide and thus wouldn't need the mini version :)

Let them be ignorant, learning is a slow process on the internet... resisting is like fighting the tides ^^
-
To take some maths to your questions: Accuracy/Evasion? Well, if 20% of your hits are critical, then I suppose 20% of your misses are "critical misses", I don't see a reason why misses would complicate this. I do believe that criticals always double your damage, but resistances don't complicate this too much in my opinion.…

Your weapon choice really depends on how you play, and what you do when you play. -If you're mostly a PVE player, you would be best served by the mold slingshot Wind and Clouds (which also happens to be one of the cheapest weapons around level 70) -If you're a PVP junkie, you might want to head straight to Chained Jail -If…

Ahh Rulin b:chuckle

Isn't it more fun to speculate? ^^

As you progress into the game arrows become cheaper and cheaper relative to your other costs, it becomes quite acheivable to carry 20k+ arrows at any one time without significantly hurting your bank balance. If you're not changing weapon any time soon, there's no real reason not to stock up... so there's no real reason (or…

Thanks Feo :)

Oh god, talking to me... another one :D
-
I blacklist every player who attempts to talk to me, I'm not a social person :(
-
Oh god... I thought that was the most hilarious sarcastic post I'd ever seen until I read your post quil.... MASSIVE necrobump. b:thanks

Thanks Asty ;)

Ty again to everyone who's read and enjoyed my guide, and um... a little 'ty' to the people who don't like it as well. I'm just back from a short holiday, sorry for the belated reply ;) -archers don't have pets -albanian: glad you liked it, the build you mentioned will never really have significantly more than 1 point of…

The argument that you should spend mana to do less damage to not pull aggro seems to me... silly. You can stop attacking for a little without spending any mana... and that ability (to not attack) you have from level 1, it doesnt cost any spirit or coin to train.
-
When you use your character as your avatar (with your class pic and level) it shows the name exactly as in game, it's chosen from the list of your characters, not entered manually.
-
They use mana to cast, but their damage is not dependent on the magic stat... so it can easily be skipped :).
-
Archers need strength primarily for their armor (which requires 1 strength per level), but also for their ranged weapon (0.5str/level). I like the conventional pure build, It's all I'd ever use for an archer, it can be tricky though, and I recommend using a HP charm if you can get your hands on one.

Exactly :D

Was so considering that name Ast, and yeah, was planning to add links... anyway, ty guys :D.
