  • 1). Depends on your gear as to how much abuse you can take, it's not the class in general contrary to popular belief. 2). That is what sutra and force of will are for. Seal them, sutra, and kill them using skills with low cast time. 3). If you're letting them know you're there and/or standing in one spot channeling skill…
  • The others are located in PST. Redwood City, CA if I recall correctly... (it was a question in a GM trivia "event" some months ago) If you're using a reliable DSL or cable internet provider, your connection to either should be fine. You probably wouldn't notice the difference on either server. Not a mod or a GM, but eh. I…
  • No, I personally would not. Don't forget, though, that endgame it's easy to make money if you own lots of land. Particularly if you own all the land, as in the case of PW-MY. Forget about the gold trading system? People have done it in other servers, just to be clear, so it's not like it's a far fetched presumption. It's…
  • Huge factor in there being a divorce fee: weddings are one of the few ways to obtain rep once you've completed all the quests available to you. Without the cost to divorce, it would be easier for people to farm rep off of it. As for why people would want more rep? Try checking out the stats on some of the higher ranked…
  • It's a new server, not a new game. There's no beta. o_O
  • Summary of the entire announcement thread for the new servers: No. They haven't given us a date.
  • 1) Guilds that KoS you or your guild will often follow you around or make rounds looking to kill lots at once, and they usually do so with a level advantage and/or a gank squad in tow. One such example is the swamp, where PvP abounds from a level range of 5x-9x. Often times people will try to get you to die to mobs so that…
  • Well, first off, doing an FB with people the level of the FB is not impossible by any means. However, it will always be easier to find a group of higher levels looking for the exp/rep, unless you are in a guild of similar leveled players because the higher leveled you are, the more exp (and rep, I think) you get from that…
  • If you don't have a guild that's going to take care of you and get you gold armor pieces, just go with the Grief's Breath. The HP you get out of the vit on it will be nice to have as well. If your guild will help you get the mats for Ashura's Sign, go for it. However unless they're going to help you get the weapon after…
  • I agree with the wraith attack idea. Though, the major problem with wiping the TW map is that...to be blunt, when a smaller guild is attacked by a larger, "power" guild...oftentimes they do not even come to the war. It would be a way to let the smaller guilds have some TW money, yeah, but I don't think there'd be that many…
  • My point stands. In telling us to "get used to it", you're basically just talking out your ****. Anyone with eyes can plainly read for themselves that I didn't say a damn thing about you playing on LC. You don't have to play a server to know how TW works or read the top threads in LC's section, which many Sanc/HT players…
  • Sandstorm is a good spell to have in your arsenal at...pretty much all times, providing you can afford it. Its benefits early on are more related to PvP though due to the damage and blind effect, and the fact that people are often missing earth defense on some of their gear. Later it becomes important for killing water…
  • Klath, not very informed about the PvP server are you? About two weeks ago RQ had 11 wars to fight spanning 3 days. 3 wars, 4 wars, and 4 again. Pretty sure it was the first case in PWI where there was a war at 4PM due to the 3 per timeslot being full, and it happened twice. Not to mention we won 10 of those wars. It's…
  • Well, when I said fully debuffed, Deity.. I was referring to the cleric debuff and mage debuff. That only takes a couple of seconds to do, and if 1vs10 or whatever is your thing, that leaves plenty of time. Whereas sparking and amping take more time and a little more organization to do all at once. o_o As I said, if you…
  • @Haiz, it's not so much that CQ has the levels that people presume they're PvE. It probably has something to do with how Deity brags about PvE accomplishments (not my words). Aside from Deity, CQ doesn't talk on WC much -- I think that's very smart of most of them, but it does help push along rumors in its own way. As for…
  • Keep in mind, guys, with that test he is referring to PvP damage. There is still a few k difference in PvE (2 or 3, I forgot).
  • I'll say it again: Just because it probably will never be fixed does not mean that it (ripping bite) is not overpowered. If you prefer being arcane, Mua, that's your personal preference. A light armor build with +hp mods has much, much better survivability than a pure magic veno (unless they add a fair sum of vit), and…
  • How many people have been PKed in the swamps by Shinzoko and CrazyPolter? How many of them have left the area and gone elsewhere, only to be a moving target for when they patrol the 6x leveling grounds? Hell, I've been chased around by Deity many times between level 50 and where I am now. A level 60 vs a level 80 is not…
  • I AM DEFINITELY NOT THAT FULL INT MAGE. NO SIR-EE. I've been aware of the results for the aforementioned test for a while now, and I'm pretty sure I'll be staying robe. It keeps staying the hell alive a lot more interesting for me, albeit yes I do envy the crit of LA (I stack crit with my pdef/hp). Anyway, looking good so…
  • It depends on the level of dragon's breath and fire mastery. Yes, a pure magic can survive as long as their damage is similar (meaning those two skills are not overleveled). Tbh, LA and PM damage with dragon's breath really doesn't differ that much; the level of the skill, player, and mobs is a larger factor.
  • That's pretty much how (almost) every venomancer thinks, Mua. Just because it probably won't ever get fixed doesn't mean it isn't OP. A pet simply should not be able to 1-2 shot a player with a DoT, especially considering the veno can still attack, run away, or purge+amp dmg the target. You're sort of missing the fact that…
  • If they're going by population, there won't likely be a new PvP server for quite some time. Lost City loses people kind of steadily, but doesn't really gain enough to offset that. Not saying it's impossible though. Another aspective of competitive gameplay is that as you level, you get to know the majority of population…
  • Our crystal was at 95% health at the time of the win with 20 minutes left, if you couldn't tell from that screenshot. That means that because we were the defending guild, we would have won in the next 20 minutes if we had not been attacking. If you didn't notice, their towers were gone. It's not at all "sneaking" to have a…
  • I got a bonus of 6 rep once. QQ me want exp bonus.
  • True, defending is easier than attacking, but.. as Pandora said above, we broke their crystal. We didn't win by default of the time running out, we won with our crystal at 95% health and theirs being shattered. As you can see here, there were catapults in both bases at the time of the victory. If we'd simply defended for 3…
  • Zhenning with robes is fine as long as you don't overlevel your zhen AoE (dragon's breath). Level 3 will do for level 6x, raise it any higher as a pure mag and you risk death. Best way to find a zhen party is within your own guild or circle of friends, but be warned that they're crashed often lately. Zhen when you have the…
  • Pure mag mages: Cons: Low HP, slow skills, too many skills to level early on, not too great at PvP before 60, damage leaves much to be desired until later, late bloomers, difficult to master, low pdef unless you stack it, have to shard your gear with HP, not necessarily needed for most parties, most are easily **** by…
  • Arguing is like a bump, except not deemed spam. Just putting that out there. :3 That being said, Wrathy is right about pure mag: You don't need to bother with +ing your gear until much later, and nothing is worth +ing past like 1 until HH90 tbh. Shooting for pdef mods with sockets and hp sharding your **** is enough.…
  • Phoenix can be excellent in large-scale PvP if you have the balls to get close enough to a group of people to use it. It's fast and does great damage when leveled up. Also Wrathy is correct: Will of the Phoenix does work in PvP against venomancer pets. You can't really hope to outrun a veno's phoenix (they're fast as…
