Anni Event QQ Thread

If you're not careful with the information you use to register an account you're also running the risk that in the case of a **** or whatever, you won't be able to provide enough information to recover your account.

It's really not about the Anniversary gifts but things like that. I think they are also trying to avoid the usual bugs by sending it through the mail.

You shouldn't make stuff then ditch the important information o_o There's no "punishment" in PWE requiring an email to send stuff. Hell, it makes complete sense why they do it. Nothing bad about keeping your customers contact up-to-date and pulling people back that quit o_o

Most of the people I know that have quit or taken breaks have emails they always used tied to their accounts, so they would get anni emails and possibly be tempted to check in.

I can totally understand why they are doing it this way. They have had nothing but problems with giving them out via the webpage in the past, from people receiving way too many items to people never getting their items to too many people flooding the page and making it inaccessible. And it caused problems breaking other pages once too, I believe. Personally, I prefer it this way rather than in the past watching as some people got 10x the amount of stuff they should have and others didn't get anything for weeks.

For those of you who don't know/have access to old emails, they have given you sufficient notice to get that worked out. Submit tickets now and you have nothing to worry about. If changing the address takes too long on their end you rage a bit in a ticket and they'll give you the items. I'm sure they know they will get flooded with tickets over this.

I think their only real problem here is that not enough people use the forums, and they will be expecting it to be the same as it always has. They need to announce this in system messages a few times.

There is one huge reason to keep a good Email address. Free stuff and discounts on zen. I get codes all the time for stuff in my E-mail

It seems to me like the only people who would fervently complain about not changing their email information are those who have purchased and/or 'inherited' an account, and then expect for to get all of the goodies to go with it.

You can say that isn't you, and you can complain about the difficulty, but ultimately it is your responsibility. Without that, you don't get a cookie. If you won't take the time to make the changes necessary, expect disappointment.

In the meanwhile, the rest of us will enjoy our 5th-year-of-Play-to-Win-goodies like the fail mount that we will NPC and the ugly-*** fashion we are likely to get. Nothing decent for having been here during the beta run... sheesh.

I have 3 accts. First one i deleted like 10k worth of emails to it. 2nd one i had to reactivate. 3rd one it deleted my email so had to make a new one. Had to send a ticket and hopefully get it all fixed with the new email.

Would be so much easier if pwi did what it has been doing with the site but i know why they did it lol. b:pleased

Do you honestly think cases like that justifies your position? Because they do not. Any "well you should have done this" BS is just pointing fingers instead of fixing the problem. It does not help situations, and all it does is put you at odds with them.

Well then you would be wrong. There are people out there that just made a fodder email account for gaming, that had too many accounts to remember(before the 2 account rule, mind you), or that might just have had bad luck. And none of them could be faulted for it.

I'm sorry, but that way of thinking is too harsh and unfair. Keeping emails aren't supposed to be what rewards the anniversary prizes - sticking with PWI for so long is.
