Oh I despise farming. The only reason I had that many badges to roll with was there was about 1000 badges on my account because e-spouse had terribad luck with his weapon and used my sin to speed-farm his rolls.

There's...still like 330 left. Perfect for rolling my cleric's G16 weapon????

A friend and I have the bows #81 and #96 respectively. I have the #96 one, for fast check the stats are as follows

#81 = 21, 6, 18
#96 = 22, 5, 18

He has the 1% crit advantage and I have the 1 attack level advantage obviously, but IMO, damage-wise my bow should be ranked above his. My reasoning:

Let's assume our damage outputs in all other ways except for our different bows are identical.
In fact for simplicity let's assume we have 0% crit chance for my first example:

AFTER 100 ATTACKS:
On an average, all my hits will deal 1% more dmg and after 100 hits those 1% more damage summed up will be equal to 101 attacks because 1% * base damage * 100 hits = 1 extra hit.

On an average, his 1% extra chance in crit will mean he deals the damage of 101 attacks - he will hit 99 times non-crits and 1 time double damage, hence 101 attacks.

Thus we deal the same damage on an average.


Now if we take crit into consideration, say we both have 30% crit chance base (him 31% cuz of his bow):

When we deal non-crit damage we will still follow the pattern like before, my dmg being 1% higher, BUT when we both crit, I get a boost - my damage is increased by 2% from the 1 attack level, because the relative damage is doubled, while his remains unchanged.

So after 100 attacks, my damage should be equivalent to that of (30 * 2 + 70) * 1.01 = 131.3 hits

While his damage is equivalent to that of (31 * 2 + 69) * 1 = 131 hits.


Thus my #96 bow should technically be ranked higher than his, or am I wrong?

This is not true. With only 832 different bows possible we would see a perfect stat bow by now. After over 50 rerolls and counting on 2 different weapons I have not seen a 24 or 25 attack lvl, or a 10 or 11 attack lvl. They are very rare. 3/4s of these rerolls are between 14 and 19, not the 1/3 this logic would suggest.
