So before I refine my Firmament bow I've been spamming rerolls on it waiting until i get a top 10% roll. At some point I realized I didn't have an exact idea of what a top 10% bow looks like so I thought it would be useful to make a list of all possible rolls and rank them according to their average DPH for a typical R9 third cast archer.

There are 16 values for attack level, 4 values for crit, and 13 values for dex. That's 832 different bows, all of them equally likely. Bow #1 hits about 11% harder on average than bow #832. My current and best after 6 rolls is bow #110, 21 attack lev, 6 crit, 15 dex. That makes it a top 13.22% so I think I'll still reroll. Just ctrl+F and search this list for your current roll to see how it stacks up.

Ya, I'm beginning to think I should keep my #110... gonna have to sleep on it.

Looking at the numbers its kind of interesting that 1% crit seems to be about 6 dex while 1 attack lev is about 4 dex. I never really valued dex that highly. Thinking about it though 6 dex does add 4% weapon attack and most r9 3rd cast walk around with like 600% weapon attack base so it seems right.

And I think she's only taking into account stats that you can get on the bow I.e ordering in terms of arrangements and their contribution to dps and so on

I mean I'm sure there would be very slight changes in the ordering if you were to factor in different attack levels but this information is only taking the bow into account otherwise people's attack levels and defence levels vary too much for you to take it into account.

Ya your build does have some effect on the actual relative ordering. There are also other factors beyond average DPH:

Dex increases accuracy and evasion and has a chance to increase crit.
Crit makes your damage more spikey which is harder for a charmed opponent to defend against.
Attack levels have better relative effectiveness against a josd opponent (though I can't remember if blazing arrow benefits from it).

Overall these secondary benefits seem to even out and I don't think any damage-based ordering will be significantly different than the one shown here.

Channel kinda depends on what skills you use no?
I'm just going to estimate that average channelling is 1.5 times the cast duration and your base channel without that random chan stat is like 65%. You can replace the crit term with:

(1/(1.5*(1- (0.65 + float(chan)/100))+1))

Oh, and you can refine to +3 and transfer for 0 chienkuns, so worse come to worse, you don't need to stay at +0 while earning more badges.

That's 101 possibilities right there alone...
Increasing max attack by 180 increases the average weapon attack by 90 (since min is the same and the average is average of max and min).
The actual % that average DPH increases by is (maxattack/2)/total weapon attack

This is annoying a bit since total weapon attack depends on your refine level and what garnets you have sharded etc.. I guess +12 will be a typical refine on R9 third cast weap?
Assuming +12 refine on warflame cleaver = (1190/2+2586/2+1050)=2938 average weapon attack
R9 ring + skycover + level 103 character = 210 + 114 + 103
2x Drakeflame = 100 + 100 = 200
That's 3565 weapon attack


The term you need to add to the dph heuristic is (3565+maxattack/2)
If you're only getting a +10 refine it would be like (3150+maxattack/2) which would increase it's relative importance by around 10%. Maybe a typical R9 thirdcast BM would have 3350 weapon attack on average?
