this thread is stupid... its just QQ from people who bought gold and thought the could sell it for alot, but after their precious annipacks and 50 other packs and sales were temporarily removed, they go crazy because they aren't getting their hax amount of money.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Thanks XRipetidex for the awesome sig!

The Anni Pack debate is right here. Its a known fact that the value of the items granted from the Anni Packs is what cause gold to spiral upwards out of control. Prior to September, the very very day before the packs, gold on Heavens Tear was about 180k. The packs were released & that very day & forever after gold shot up to 450k+ (sometimes over 500k). And now that they're removed (and this happened both the other times they were removed as well) gold declines as a very result of it.
We arent debating over the impact of annipacks on players gear, but what IS pertinent to this discussion is the impact they have on the Price of gold. If you plotted out the prices of gold since prior to their 1st introduction, you'd notice the impact is direct and not even subtle.0 -

actually, i dont remember where, but a guy got some charts together that showed when PWE was making the most money, when annipacks were released, and gold price spikes, and guess what all lined up? annipacks=higher gold prices=more ppl buying gold because prices are too high, or they want to make money=more profit for PWE[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

You realize you just agreed with my post entirely. b:chuckle
And yes, Higher gold prices does mean more people are likely to buy zen to cash in on it. So while PWI couldnt give a **** what the price of gold is on the servers, they do care about whatever they can do to increase its demand.0 -
Haha i recall way back when this game first came out. Buying price of gold was 100k-160k per Gold. now it's higher but as long as it stays about 300-389k things are good. But thats Heavens tear i don't play any other sever, so i would not no how much gold goes for but i did here that harshland's is like 440k but what do you expect form a bunch of pk loving nub's.0

Magikrap - Lost City wrote: »mold drops decrease the value of coin
example
economy A
1000 coins, 2 molds
economy B
1000 coins, 1 mold
it is highely likely i larger sum of coins will be paid in economy B to purchase the mold thereby reducing the value of coin
but mld drops do not change the amount of coin in the economy so therefore the price of gold should remain the same
however we must take into account that the increased amount of molds will reduce the need to buy gold thereby reducing demand and cauing a drop in prices
so i think
increased mold drops should reduce the price of gold
they should make it so that wines are bought from NPC with coin instead of with mats
this would drain the economy of coin
but honestly it is kind of difficult to keep an in game economy under control
in real life things lik weapons and armor would break and need constant replacing
repair costs in the game cant replicate this effect
they should increase repair costs etc
genies should be able to be bought from NPC with coin
there is no where near enough ways to drain coin

Bad, bad idea. That would make 50 silver = 1m, as coin boxes give you 1m but use 1 perfect hammer. Also, the gold cap is 1m per gold, so that would make it that literally no one in their right mind would ever sell gold, they would just buy hammers and get twice the profit.
...5 gold's about right.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Coins coming directly from packs (tokens can be traded directly for 10k each and ToBL for 5m) and not enough gold sinks. Combined with pretty much anything useful coming either from the boutique or packs made gold much more valuable than coins.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
Yes this thread is pretty much necro
However, some people i know are afraid that PWI try to draw coins from the game and CS will be the only viable way to aquire a big enough pile of coins to buy anything.
Back in time when gold was sold for 400k all items was cheaper. For the unlikely event we have a deflation in pwi , prices for all kind of stuff will drop too. Coins are still injected en masse per TW, BH, Token (10 mil notes, Wedding monney) and DQ items/drops 71+I hate Room 380
