Agree with the feeling of abandonment.
Flagship game & a whole year to prepare for the big day. Sept 2nd & = BIG Fizz.
Considering also the competition from certain other online games, with plenty of pre-time to get all ready to counter. How not to give you that warm secure feeling of any care.

It's interesting, take a look through the other PWE forums. This is the only one being spammed and left without a clue as to events and other updates . Guess the community management teams for their other games actually work for their pay.0

the news and update policy is indeed pathetic.
forums is still full of phishing site spam. there is still no captcha implemented, a task that takes a few minutes! we have pwi anniversary and there is still no news. and the promised 2x drops on friday is also not activated.
this cannot be explained by incompetence alone, no one can be that incompetent! it is abandonment! clearly the mods and gm left us for youknow what 2!0 -

and to the other two who took 'seemed' offense at my post. Does a large company, that is a publicly traded company, worth millions of dollars, need ppl on the forum to defend them?
This is obviously a thread made to inquire about the celebration that THEY themselves planned and scheduled yet have not executed. I'm pretty sure if you took an item back to a store becaue of a serious defect that you wouldn't want ppl who were shopping, in the store, running up to you and telling you that you should give the store a break and allow them a week or two to decide if they were going to make good on their end of the bargain.
We have been directed to the forums for information about the anniversary plans, BY PWI, or at least I was when I inquired by e mail....so I'm here, looking for answers.0 -

This. Sht hit the fan after maint, Frankie comes and apologizes, says festivities start on Friday. At that point they should of announced whatever they got planned, just to keep their customers in the loop. People can say whatever they want bout Frankie not being allowed to say/do anything - If he could tell us that on a forum post, he could of made it a sticky. I`m not saying he alone is at fault but he damn sure hasnt shown any kind of competence this past week.

I used to favor reason like that over complaining as well, but I'm getting sick and tired of guessing what's on PWE's agenda in order to rationalize another one of their F-ups.
Fact of the matter is, we're lacking in communication here.

No worries, they`re working on improving, this only few months back and Im sure if we give them more time, they will manage to sorten out these small speed bumps.

I just ignore it and go on with my life not letting something silly bother me. i don't see why people get so huffy (not you specifically) over something so trivial. Yes its a big thing, yes they didn't meet their deadline again, yes there's no communication. But in the end who cares? Some people act like their lives are at stake. Just go on about your lives doing what you normally would do and when it comes it comes. Not to mention that though we are their customers. We are but a small portion of the entire company.
Think of PWE as a very busy steakhouse. And each table represents a different thing that PWE staff have to take care of. The staff are the are the staff of the restaurant. Now let's say our Anniversary is the house special. Among all the other "customers" that the staff had to take care of the order was never put in. (The no announcements originally etc) They then put in the order and apologized to us. Now while the order is prepped and made the waiters don't sit around at your every beckon they go to other tables(tasks) and take care of those. Expecting them to come to your every whim is foolish.
This is how I see it. Now for all we know they could be doing something ADDITIONALLY for us for the **** up that we don't know about that they DIDN'T have to do at all. And I'll bet everyone will take it for granted like usual.[SIGPIC]http://i48.tinypic.com/2r61kw3.jpg[/SIGPIC]

Expecting him to take 3 minutes of his precious time to do his JOB, either to give specifics of when events will start or to state that they have been delayed, really isn't asking a whole lot. Because it is, after all, part of his JOB.0 -

''Some people act like their lives are at stake'' is taking it the wrong way as well. Coming off as more pissed than you really are is easy on the internet. Especially when people want you to be pissed so they can quote you and post ''you mad?'' because it makes them feel witty.
Having a lot of people complain means at least 2 things:
-People love the game enough to take their time complaining.
-There is a lot of missed potential.
Now the second one is of importance here. It's like Wheel of Fortune with the host being absent. That's just something PWE (or at least whoever's in charge) brought upon themselves by making the game mostly focused on consuming. Working in a sweatshop and spending the money on gold will get you more coins than actually playing the game normally. Those who are already rich play the ''but there's merchanting!'' card, but that's really not what a game should be about.

Know 2x is coming but not sure when: complain.
A few more hours left until switch get flipped: complain.
PWI down for 1 hour? demand a 2x and complain more.
All the player base ever does nowadays is complain because nothing is ever enough.
We all should know by now how long it takes before 2x is actually turned on, but it's the same old song over and over again with every 2x announced b:bye0 -

I agree with Jen considering how much power the devs/ppl who work here have over the game they have did pretty well all you guys do is complain complain complain stop worrying about stuff and just take it and roll with it they are more than likely preparing something for us as you all are complaining and in the past when ever something has screwed up they have fixed it and rewarded us afterwards for instance last yeat when ppl were DDS attacking the servers causing ppl to disconnect a lot we got 2x cuz if time we lost playing and such. Also in the past when 2x was delayed they usually extended the time we eas supposed to get, so be patient and it will be here.0
