    This is pretty neat. =D
    I had terribad luck with it though; I couldnt get passed +3 with only mirages....
    Then there's that certain luck factor...

    Maybe I should write a series of challenges / Achievements...

    1) Get a +5 refine in under 100 mirages (no orbs allowed).
    2) Refine to +7 using less than 10m coins.
    3) Refine to +6 using only mirages.
    4) Get a +12 refine using less than 200m coins.
    5) Refine everything to +6 without orbs.

    stuff like that.

    By the way, awesome tool :)

    Would be cool to have an option to automaically refine until a certain point and then see how much it costs. After doing it several times and taking an average of the cost, we would compare it to the price of just using dragon orbs.


    And now I got to +9 with just mirages and tienks :)

    I'm glad you like it!

    If you really want to see the average savings of aids vs dorbs you can use WarrenWolfy's spread sheet here:
    https://public.sheet.zoho.com/public/warren.forrest/pwi-refine-costs
    It gives you the optimal strategy and shows the average cost/savings of each step.

    Knowing that doesn't really give you a good sense of what refining really feels like though and my simulator is more about giving a realistic refining experience.

    If you haven't found it yet there are a lot of additional stats you can see if you hover over the icons in the results window. I am not sure if people are finding that since there is nothing really visible in that window that will draw the attention of a cursor. Also people would probably assume the tooltip would be the same as the ones in the inventory window :S Maybe I should whisper that info to people as a chat heh.

    True, but it could still be fun and usefull to have a Start, Stop and Pause buttons, that would start the refinning process and refine again every x seconds. It can still give a reallistic experience and remove the need to click too many times.

    Was just using Tienkang only on the wand with coin cost about 100 mil and the highest I ever got was +6.

    I always see people on the forums saying they are plus 5~6 with Tienkangs like it just happens every time. I just tried over a dozen times and every time I didn't get to +5 with Tienkangs before I broke 10mil. So far it is looking like it is cheaper to just use D.Orbs in the long run.

    The one thing that is missing is the agonizing delay between attempts. It needs that hair-pulling frustration of waiting click after click to see FAIL pop up over and to accurately simulate IG refining. The added insult of having wasting 1/2 an hour of play time as well as 20m in mirages/aids in a failed attempt to get to +7. b:angry

    Would be nice to have an option to set the base refine, like at +5 to test going to +6 without having to go back to +5 from +0.

    Not sure if I am being dumb and missed this feature if it's there.

    It's kind of there. You can use dragon orbs to refine all the gears to +5 first then hit the "Start" button to reset the counts while keeping your refines at +5.

    My ideal solution is to load up all the gear and refines from a pwcalc link but I dunno how.

    believe it or not, i used this simulator to see how many times it would go +11 from +10 with a tisha and i applied it to the game. It went +11 from 10 with a tisha 5/7 times so i grabbed my balls and did it.

    I also sent an email to the pwcalc.com guy asking if he could support giving a response to external requests from my tool as opposed to only internal requests from his own site. If he can this will allow people to load their own gear to refine from a pwcalc.com link.

    I think it would be pretty easy to enable this on his end and mine so I'm optimistic.
