    Sadly that one's ini file is stuck on my old laptop, which doesn't work anymore. So I don't have access to it for the time being. b:surrender
    Dx 'The time being's probabily quite a while, huh. Well, if you can get her back somehow; I'd try to make a character that looks like her, but I can't make young looking characters to save my life, for some reason.

    -ooh, speaking of Dragon Ball Z characters, I made one that looks like the main character person the other day that looked terribily silly.. but I didn't save the ini Dx

    I do have a Seeker preset I've been holding onto, though o.o Haven't managed to do anything with her due to not really wanting to actually play any of the earthborne classes, lol.

    She's not really all that unique when it comes to face shape and so on, but I haven't really seen anyone using this eyeshadow for awhile and I really adore it myself.     Hey guys, some of these faces are truly incredible, but I'm afraid that posting instructions on how to attain them breaks our forum rules, since you're technically modifying game files and showing other people how to do so. In light of this, could you please remove the "Code" section of your posts as soon as possible? And to others who wish to participate in this thread, please leave that section out when you make your post.

    I can't understand that too, ppl is not winning nothing in game besides a pretty look. Even in China server undertood that. Put EG eyes in all classes, thats the end of all issues. I dont want to lose my char but her look is not as awesome as the new classes are, make a lil update on the old ones config (is simple, just enable the EG eyes option in costumization section) and u will make a lot of ppl happy.

    Could you please clarify what codes need to be removed. Is it only the ones that have been ini edited or all of them? Because you already gave us permission to use codes to share characters in another thread. http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showpost.php?p=15357711&postcount=27 here you said it is okay to share ini file data. Another GM a really long time ago also gave one poster permission to let their friends create characters for them and said sharing character data is allowed as long as there no attempts made by either party to modify the character data.

    In addition you must copy and pasta data into the element client file to use the reference pictures function. That particular IN-GAME FEATURE is not able to be used if we cannot do something that simple. So copy and pasting data into that folder is already also allowed.

    What isn't allowed is editing the character data outside of the character creator and showing others how to do so. For example giving earthguard eyes to older classes.


    This has been your company's stance as I have understood it. All characters with EG eyes have posted were originally created on an empty slot on the EU servers. The EU GMs have a different rule about it so I am not breaking any rules by doing so. I shared them here but I guess that isn't okay and I can certainly repost those to the European server if that is the problem.

    At least I thought this is how the rules worked. If not we are going to need some clarification.


    edit: And I see you edited all of my posts on the first page to remove the codes under my name. I'm actually pretty upset about that you should've used your own name. And at least given me a chance to remove them myself. Now many of those characters are lost to ME forever though they broke no rules.

    Stop messing with codes posted if you can't even tell which character has features that don't belong there, for ****s sake.

    I removed that one myself. He just removed the codes on the first couple of pages. Then I guess they changed their minds/it was too much work. So they just ask us to destroy our work ourselves. With no explanation at all as to what broke the rules and what didn't. I saved all the ones I edited but the ones on the first page are gone forever. Including that awesome alien ambassador that took me 2 hours to make and that I was going to use for my wizard.

    He didn't even leave the picture. :3

    edit: And the guy with green mohawk didn't have any file modifications but he deleted the code from that one too. So I have no idea what is going on.

    Could you please clarify what codes need to be removed. Is it only the ones that have been ini edited or all of them? Because you already gave us permission to use codes to share characters in another thread. http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showpost.php?p=15357711&postcount=27 here you said it is okay to share ini file data. Another GM a really long time ago also gave one poster permission to let their friends create characters for them and said sharing character data is allowed as long as there no attempts made by either party to modify the character data.

    Based on this I changed the EG eyes on my character, hence all ini editing is gone. So, I shouldn't be promoting any now, right? Or is the main problem that we post the codes here and doesn't upload them as ini files? Essentially it is exactlty the same thing, only that we remove the 'but what if the ini file actually is something different'? would it be alright if instead of creating a template, opening that, pasting the code and save, if we saved the code as an ini file and copypasted that in? Since we're not modifying any coding our game client had created anymore?

    In either way, I don't see why this shouldn't be allowed. We're not hacking the client, nor promoting how to edit your client to an unfair adventage.

    Frankie, why weren't you a darling and say something months ago? I'd say that's rather irresponsible at that rate~.
    Methinks Venus has made many exceptional points and I don't think anyone on the board is going to take much action until they're responded to, so..
    On another(sorta) note, though, I do agree with whomever else agrees with me(xD) on the earthguard eyes for older classes and(if there're any on here, but I don't think they are) single-race hair on their non-races. I always find it concerning and worry when I see characters around with these, because it's a very innocent offense in comparison to others that could still get them just as severe a banishment. (And of course I actually like traditional eyes better than the earthguard eyes.)
    None of my characters on this board were edited in any such manner and were simpily made via the creator, so just in case only codes with edits in them need to be removed until clarification I guess they'll linger here o-o
    And I don't trust zip files' transferring and that sort of mess, either~

    I think we should just all post like this.

    Why? Well, why should we promote the awesome graphics possible if they're not even allowed to use? Something in me just refuses to show the graphics potential this game could have if the GMs weren't as uptight with edits. Why give them positive advertisement if they want to ban your behind but do nothing to the goon glitchers? No way.

    I agree with the idea that every class should have EG eyes, I'm not talking about hair, we have boutique for that b:victory I just wanted to ask is it really hard to make this change? (I dunno about programing so I'm not the one to speak) It would really solve many problems, there wouldn't be so many arguments and stuff.. btw this game is popular because of the character custamization, so why not let ppl to be as creative as they can?     basically you should be able to use the google cache functionality to find an older version of this thread and then copy down your missing/removed information.

    in the google search box put site:pwi-forum.perfectworld.com <your user name> <something from the post containing the code you want e.g name you gave the preset>

    when google comes up go to the preview (>> to the right of the results) and then click on the cached link. with any luck google will still have the original thread cached and you can get your info back. HTH

    I can't see any real reason to not do that. Is just for estetic, they don't get any advantage on the game, just a char they call beautiful using the features THE GAME provide. Again, no unfair advantage, no advantage AT ALL. They simply don't concern about game bugs and want to police that. The "rules" about this are totally random too.
    This just isn't right.
    I don't have words for this. I quit this game because of things like that.

    PWCN has no problem with it. And we are the only ones that have that rule. The thing is, the European servers are allowed to edit their characters. So it's not even a matter of a client rule since if I want to play my ini character all I have to do is login in to the lothranis or momagnon server. They are basically keeping the rule because they stick to their guns. Which is fine. I can see if they don't want us posting ini characters here even if they are for the lothranis/momganon server.


    But....they have had no problems with us helping people with their characters in the past so long as that character wasn't moderated. They edited my posts to make it seem like I got rid of the ones on the first page, but I didn't. I got rid of all the ones after the BM with the thick eyebrows at frankie's request. But they went in and edited my other post themselves as me to remove the code. As a result they even got rid of the images.

    This included characters that were not edited in anyway. (Like the toons with the mohawks and the katy perry alien veno) That is a huge and sudden reversal of their rule that we can help people design characters. He even allowed on player to hold a cross-server tournament and use zen to give a prize to people on the other servers for helping her design her character. So for them to just edit my characters code out without even asking me if I had it saved......was just unnecessarily harsh for a rule change that they notified us about only after they had punished us for breaking it.

    In addition copy and pasting things into the element client folder isn't against the rule. Otherwise it would be impossible to use the REFERENCE PICTURE IN-GAME FEATURE if that was the rule. So if we can't do that they should be telling us that.

    It's just very confusing at this point. We thought we were following the rules, and I posted what their policy had shaped out to be based on various posts by GMs in the past. SO I don't know why the sudden change of heart now.

    Hey guys, some of these faces are truly incredible, but I'm afraid that posting instructions on how to attain them breaks our forum rules, since you're technically modifying game files and showing other people how to do so.     Why do you feel the need to punish the players who do something as minuscule as ini editing but allow players to get away with abusing a glitch which massively gave them an actual advantage in this game? This is like going to jail for life for shooting a spit ball at a teacher and the serial killer clubbing children to death getting a 1 pound fine.

    Your priorities are completely messed up. I can't help but feel this would be different if a British person run PWE but that will start me off on why I cannot stand the majority of America.

    So no I'm not deleting my codes and if you have a problem with it I couldn't care less

    I took the code from the character I posted down, but that's simply because I know she's technically a no-no on here cause her eyes. Beyond that, this is absolutely outrageous..
    This needs to be addressed; to just charge in and say "Hey, knock it off. Why? Cause I said so." and avoiding the people from then on is just plain rude.

    At least hear us out. Is that not the job of GMs? To listen to the people and try to work out a fair compromise based on the rules THEY set in the first place?
    And Venus is right, they have stated in the past that sharing these files is fine. In more than one thread, if I'm correct. I'm sure I've seen it somewhere that COPYING the files and PASTING them into the folders is fine.

    EDIT: One post I found by Kritty, still looking for any by Frankie or a GM, as opposed to a mod.
