Aura = a field of luminous radiation around a person
Lina = palm tree (occording to some obscure website)

Therefore, I wish I was surrounded by palm trees. Perhaps my name means I need a vacation in Hawaii. :D

I first settles on the name because it's aolso the name I use when I'm playing the Letter Game with my pen-pal. :)

Tenebres --> Latin and French for darkness. My character reminded me of the dark when I finished creating her. Generally, all of my names for my toons are random words that I feel my character has an affinity in obscure languages (mostly gaelic lol)

Not sure if mine represents the most unimaginative thought process whatsoever but here goes:

Back a loooong time ago there weren't enough clerics. At the time people were actually paying for Barbs and Clerics to run instances.

Mage - what some clerics were called - now I think mage is more commonly used to refer to a wizard but meh.

MERC - short for mercenary. (I also thought its short for Mercedes which is obviously a top of the range motor vehicle.....)

So my intention as that I would become a the healer for hire.

Then sins came along and that was the end of that. I still like the name but.

Among my many alts I have CrazyV - now a bank but it was gunna be a HA veno. Afterwards I realized it could be a euphamism (spelling?) for a womens privates.

Then my seeker is LadyDrizzt cause its a chick and cause Drizzt was the best swordsman in the known mythical world. She looks hot too.

Omnicon for me personally was the last name of a character in a story I was trying to write. The story is on hold due to life problems. Anyway, the characters first name in the story was actually Shuuki which means fallen in one of the asiatic languages. (and is also the name of my veno)

I derived Omnicon as "Omni" meaning "all, or every" torn from the word-
"Omniscient" which means "having complete or unlimited knowledge, awareness, or understanding; perceiving all things."
"Con" as in "to swindle" which I can find to be an act that requires much cunning.

So, thus my old character was born in the story since she was an Omniscient Swindler, fallen in the end though.

And thats a haphazard way of trying to explain how my brain works in coming up with Omnicon. (not exactly sure how it suits a cleric though now that I think about that other then the "Omni" part.)

My clerics name is SuperSmurf... And the sotry of it is dull and dragged out.. like here:

Im short in RL (1.73! \o/) So someone gave me the nickname The Smurf. When I started the game I simply used it on my veno: SmurfJegeren, wich is norwegian for "The Smurf Hunter". That one came back to bite me in the butt a few times, as peopel called me Gargamel <.<

When I made my BM, Smurf had already stuck to me as a slightly... alternative veno. So I figured Id keep it to keep being recognized easily amongst my friends. And so SmurfMaster was born!

I made a cleric, cause a friend wanted a cleric wife (Yeah, thats how my healing career started b:surrender ) and still wanted to keep "Smurf". Thought long and hard(around 17 seconds or so) and figured: Heeeyyyy... Winged elves can fly, SuperMan can fly, SuperSmurf! I still occasionally get the: Is it a plane? No! Is it a bird? No! Its SuperSmurf! b:chuckle

Then made an archer and named him Arlowe b:embarrass
No I dont have a herc, I AM the herc! b:mischievous

I wanted to use the word silver in my name but every decent word combination I came up with was taken. So I sat there wondering, "how can I use the word silver in my avatar's name," ummmm.... silver and avatar..... sil---vatar.... silvatar. It sounded good, and I thought that it would be easy for other players to spell, to pronounce, and to remember. I also thought that it sounded like the kind of name that a "knight in shining armour" might have which is how I tend to role-play my cleric - the good guy persona.

Free of worries I run light through life.
I also find it gives me an edge in gaming too, having no burdens in life, means I can focus 100% on the next kill. b:cute

A side effect is I get lasting friendship from gaming (as in real life) vs. friends that come and go.

My characters are all named Lacy(item). My seeker is LacyBra (my boyfriend thought up the name), my Cleric is LacyThong (because seeing a she-elf in a thong is like a healing power), and my barb is LacyLeather (because, you know, it's a barb. Barbs are like hurrrr).

Why do I keep naming my characters LacyWhatever? Identification purposes~~~. Everyone I know calls me either Lacy or Natalie anyways, so.

been a big fan of baldurs gate where a healer and a fighter would merge as in heavy armor and chield with a club.

so i was gona make knight but was taken so i made VKnightV but then i also remember
praises like a knight in shinning armor so i decided cascade is end game and fully white
plus amber i think make armor shinning.

as for end game weapon as a knight i can only go for mag sword so a lunar nv sword for me.

1st preority was to get lv100 now to get the gear b:victory

Well my cleric's name Umbramagis actually means "Shade More" which more literally should mean "More Shade" at the time I named him I thought it was going to be Shadow Magicb:sad...

But the screen name I use on here basically means Shadow Druid.
I use another variation for many other sites, Umbratotalus, and it does literally mean Shadows Total.
The Doctor - Speak his name, and he will come. No matter where he is in time or space, if you need him, he will come.

"A skylark soars into the sky singing happily. As it flies upward, the clouds of evening make it invisible, but its song enables the poet to follow its flight. All the earth and air is filled with its song. The unseen but still singing skylark is compared to a poet composing, a maiden in love, a glowworm throwing out its beams of light, a rose in bloom diffusing its scent, and the sound of rain on twinkling grass. Songs sung in praise of love or wine or music played for a wedding or a celebration cannot compare in loveliness with the song of the skylark.

What accounts for the happiness of the song of the skylark? It is free from all that gives pain to man. It knows what lies beyond death and has no fear. Even if man freed himself from hate, pride, and fear, man's joy would not equal the skylark's. The secret of its capacity to sing so happily would be an incomparable gift for the poet. If the skylark could communicate to Shelley half its happiness, then he would write poetry that the world would read as joyfully as he is listening to the song of the bird."
    -Wikipedia Entry: To a Skylark

    To a Skylark
    by Percy Bysshe Shelley
    (1803-1822)

    HAIL to thee, blithe spirit!
    Bird thou never wert—
That from heaven or near it
    Pourest thy full heart
In profuse strains of unpremeditated art.

    Higher still and higher
    From the earth thou springest,
    Like a cloud of fire;
    The blue deep thou wingest,
And singing still dost soar, and soaring ever singest.

    In the golden light'ning
    Of the sunken sun,
    O'er which clouds are bright'ning,
    Thou dost float and run,
Like an unbodied joy whose race is just begun.

    The pale purple even
    Melts around thy flight;
    Like a star of heaven,
    In the broad daylight
Thou art unseen, but yet I hear thy shrill delight—

    Keen as are the arrows
    Of that silver sphere
    Whose intense lamp narrows
    In the white dawn clear,
Until we hardly see, we feel that it is there.

    All the earth and air
    With thy voice is loud,
    As when night is bare,
    From one lonely cloud
The moon rains out her beams, and heaven is overflow'd.

    What thou art we know not;
    What is most like thee?
From rainbow clouds there flow not
    Drops so bright to see,
As from thy presence showers a rain of melody:—

    Like a poet hidden
    In the light of thought,
    Singing hymns unbidden,
    Till the world is wrought
To sympathy with hopes and fears it heeded not:

    Like a high-born maiden
    In a palace tower,
    Soothing her love-laden
    Soul in secret hour
With music sweet as love, which overflows her bower:

    Like a glow-worm golden
    In a dell of dew,
    Scattering unbeholden
    Its aerial hue
Among the flowers and grass which screen it from the view:

    Like a rose embower'd
    In its own green leaves,
    By warm winds deflower'd,
    Till the scent it gives
Makes faint with too much sweet those heavy-winged thieves.

    Sound of vernal showers
    On the twinkling grass,
    Rain-awaken'd flowers—
    All that ever was
Joyous and clear and fresh—thy music doth surpass.

    Teach us, sprite or bird,
    What sweet thoughts are thine:
    I have never heard
    Praise of love or wine
That panted forth a flood of rapture so divine.

    Chorus hymeneal,
    Or triumphal chant,
Match'd with thine would be all
    But an empty vaunt—
A thin wherein we feel there is some hidden want.

    What objects are the fountains
    Of thy happy strain?
What fields, or waves, or mountains?
What shapes of sky or plain?
What love of thine own kind? what ignorance of pain?

    With thy clear keen joyance
    Languor cannot be:
    Shadow of annoyance
    Never came near thee:
Thou lovest, but ne'er knew love's sad satiety.

    Waking or asleep,
    Thou of death must deem
    Things more true and deep
    Than we mortals dream,
Or how could thy notes flow in such a crystal stream?

    We look before and after,
And pine for what is not:
    Our sincerest laughter
    With some pain is fraught;
Our sweetest songs are those that tell of saddest thought.

    Yet, if we could scorn
    Hate and pride and fear,
    If we were things born
    Not to shed a tear,
I know not how thy joy we ever should come near.

    Better than all measures
    Of delightful sound,
    Better than all treasures
    That in books are found,
Thy skill to poet were, thou scorner of the ground!

    Teach me half the gladness
    That thy brain must know;
    Such harmonious madness
    From my lips would flow,
The world should listen then, as I am listening now.
    [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
