105 FC Glitchers will never be banned...

Nope I'd rather they handle the problems brought to them, as they get them, with the set of rules provided by the ToS. I'd rather each gm handling a problem not make their own rule at the moment it strikes them, and follow what the actual rules say. My complaint was never about any amount of time be it small or large. It is about how they handle each and every problem brought to them. You see, they make the rules as they go. Nothing, not even that which is in the ToS is law.0 -
Then your views on life in general are quite flawed. There will always be exceptions... I'm done trying to argue with someone that only sees it from the facade they live within. If you can't understand the other side of the story, it's pointless for me to try and make you understand.Sometimes you just have to live on the fly and hope you don't crash! b:pleased0

Of course because you believe inequity is inherent. You see the rule of law is a very important thing. It means that no matter your status the same rules should be followed by all. What was it Nixon said? "When the President Does It, It's Not Illegal".
If the ToS does not need to be followed, why have it at all? If we don't need a ToS anymore, why even have mods or GM's? Why not just let the game go to anarchy?0 -
Point proven. You're looking at it the wrong way entirely. I've got no more reason to continue speaking to you.Sometimes you just have to live on the fly and hope you don't crash! b:pleased0

Are we not already there now ? Forum mods are the only ones left doing what they can to enforce any part of the TOS.0 -
Saying that ToS is something u should follow blindly is idiotic. Even IRL laws change and adapt. I still dont think, that this glitch was game breaking, (this 25-15 extra stat points and some hp, really?)
If someone really need to get punished it should be that guy/team, who was unable to fix this damn glitch in short time. Also not banning glitchers, if glitch was still there and very popular was like sign: "do it, cause nothing going to happen".
Now thousands of people have used it, many are active in forum and in server community + some really hardcore cashshoppers. Ban isnt solution, i can think xp reroll maybe can be some kind of solution.
and can we have glitch back :P, i wanna try to solo it:)
ironically r9 for eg-s came out after glitch was fixed0 -

According PWPedia Damage :Daggers and ranged weapons:
attack multiplier = 1 + ( Dex / 150 ) + weapon mastery + physical attack buffs
Melee weapons:
attack multiplier = 1 + ( Str / 150 ) + weapon mastery + physical attack buffs
Magic weapons:
attack multiplier = 1 + ( Mag / 100 ) + magical attack buffs
Where ( Dex / 150 ) and ( Str / 150 ) are rounded to 2 decimal places. ( Ex. 1 + ( 100 / 150 ) + 0 + 0 = 1.67 )
...
If the target is a higher level than the attacker then a level difference damage reduction may apply. This damage reduction is ignored by venomancer / mystic pets which makes those particularly effective fighting against ?-level mobs (which count as level 150).
Target Level minus
Attacker Level Damage Multiplier
< 3 ____ 100%
3 - 5 _____90%Equation for Stealth level: Stealth level = Character level + level of stealth skill used (shadow walk or escape) + Cat-like Tread
Awareness level = Character Level + Sharp observer skill + Detection potion
For most Awareness level will be just their character level as only sins get sharp observer and the potions aren't cheap.0 -
i think the biggest issue is knowing exactly who abused the glitch. it can't be something easy to track. i highly doubt pwi have logs on exactly what u killed for how much exp, or even how much exp was gathered in a day. i could be wrong but it's not something that seems likely. only proof that they could have is screens and i doubt the people who took screens r going to submit them in a ticket considering that they were there abusing the glitch as well.0

That said, the worst offenders' accounts have been found and will soon be seen to.
b:thanks
Either they should uniformly ban the abusers. Or they should have left the glitch in the game to make it fair. GM's don't follow the rules. They make decisions on whims and it's bull shizz. Fact is they don't want to do anything about it cause SOOOO many people glitched goonz. Has to be in the hundreds of people. It's no doubt a lie they took action on some. I have yet to see any lvl 105 be even temp banned.
@ Cat
If the law changed then fine, but it hasn't changed. If it has changed they should bring the exp back. It just so happens that some pretty hefty cash shoppers did a lot of glitching and they don't want to offend their bread winners. If they brought it back Id probably use it.
The whole reason I went on this tirade was because of Temprus saying the GMs do such a great job taking care of the game. My point is they don't. I have been playing since 3 weeks after server opened. GMs lie, deceive and widdle away any type of authority or respect they may have had. Truth be told, if the glitch was still working Id be doing it too.0 -
what TOS no bann no TOS.
where are the new glicth comming out i sure will abuse the next ones for sure this game do not care.
whos with me with a new lv cap to lv110 and a nice glitch way to raise to that lv b:pleased i will we one of those players for sure.
if no bann before why should they change now right.
in fact its idiotic not to with how lame they did the goon glitch.0 -
Aubree - Dreamweaver wrote: »Either they should uniformly ban the abusers. Or they should have left the glitch in the game to make it fair.
Agreed. If they knew there wasn't a way to punish the abusers, then they should have just legalized the glitch and left it in place. As it is, those of us that *didn't* abuse the glitch are now left feeling punished.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

At least 45% of the game did... And jealous ppl who didn't now want the glitchers banned because now they have a few lvl's more others haven't... It's like running to your teacher and demanding a classmate to be kicked out of school because the classmate pushed you aside in the school library to get that nice book you wanted to read... b:chuckle
I still vote for minor punishments for minor violations like this... Banhammer should be used only for extreme violations... Like at a certain site I hang out on... Sometimes a part of the site glicthes and gives out a lot of gold while it shouldn't... Ppl who abuse this glitch are not getting banned (wich is the ultimate punishment ment for extreme violations)... Instead all the gold they got out of the glitch is being reverted and if the person abused it and went out and buy stuff with it... The staff simply takes away their trading passes untill everything is reverted and untill the staff gives it back to you... Meaning the person won't be able to exchange items with others during that time... So see? It is possible to punish without doing something permanent like banning...
But then again we are on PWI... Whining ppl won't be satisfied untill a lot of other ppl feel misserable after all... So why not just exhile 45% of the game and still not be able to feel sattisfied? I'm pretty sure a lot of these kind of ppl would even betray their best friends as well if they broke a rule... b:surrender[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

So you would be in favour of all those who glitched having their level rolled back to pre-glitch status ?
Sounds good to me since a temp ban would still leave them with their level and a perm ban is maybe going to far, but knowing PWI they haven't a clue how to do it .0 -

Sounds like a good punishment to me yeah... Or maybe even drop them 5 lvles also after their lvles are reverted... That way they'll learn their lesson without being banned and losing their friendlist and all the stuff they paid/worked for... b:pleased[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Well, getting to 105 was my 2010 goal, that was accomplished while most of fail ppl that is 103~105 today couldn't even figure out how to kill 2nd frost boss. A little after that I retired my sin to go after new goals.Azura - Lost City wrote: »b:laughb:laugh[SIGPIC]100% F2P Assassin[/SIGPIC]

in PWI? no... no, anywhere!! if everyone is doing something then... nobody can do anything about it. because they can't ban all the population. they just... cant. the only way for them would be to fix glitch ASAP, no other options, because you cant ban entire servers. and the reason why glitchers wont be banned is... there's too many of them b:shutup too many to be banned b:bye
btw are we talking about perma bans? or just bans? if just vacation for a week then it'd be worth it b:laugh
so, when next glitch will apear don't make same mistake again b:shutup0 -
Lol, some of you people really kill me. You act like it would be so hard to find out who glitched it and who didn't. You don't know anything about computer programming do you. Aside from the fact that the data is or was stored on the server at some point:
Say someone got from 104 to 105 in a week. You think they were grinding 12x hyper in OHT? lololol Don't quote me on the numbers, you get the point. How many 105's before this? And now how many? It's simple math.
Again the reason why people are mad is because it was supposed to be a ban-able offense. Banning people sets a precedent. It encourages people to follow the rules.
Not banning people sets a precedent too, it encourages players to break the rules. Pretty simple. You lose honest players or you lose dishonest players. Why have any rules if they're only going to be enforced on a here and there basis.0 -

Even easier then that, just look at the (forum data spread) on the forum posters, Allow for about a (4 month) addition of time, too the forum join date "Incase they took up to 4 months to get on the forums, after they started playing." then look at their posted (high character level) or better yet if they got a list of 'characters & their levels' on (sub-banner)
The less time they've been on and the higher their 100th lev is, the more chance they payed up too glitch it....b:victory
&
The more (100th Lvs) they got, the more the chance that they JFC'd, atleast some of them, rather then level them through questing..... b:thanks

Btw my 2008/2009 goal was level/pvp with my Veno, if you check both pvp rankings for venos/Lost City you can see why I call goons 105's fails. Note that I completely retired veno in August 2009 and still have better results than you. b:chuckle

Ok, with the low population we have on servers now, and the fact that now everyone levels in instances, that would actually be a challenge. b:shutup0
