    True... But I think it might be a good idea to do so... Maybe GM's could start selling an infinite amount of gold at the price the staff seems fit to be the max price... That way ppl are forced to lower their prizes when selling gold or everyone will just buy from the infinite stack instead...
    Afcourse this will require permission from the chinese department but I think this would be a good solution of keeping gold prices run out of hand and keep the game affordable for the non-paying players as well...

    I dare say if you plot gold prices against their sales, you'll see that pack price in coins have been somewhat constant and gold prices changed to offset the sale %.

    How much was gold worth before pwi was released? 0. How much was gold worth after pwe/i was released it?

    I've heared gold was around 100k numerous time so lets assume that it was 100k. You could say that pwi didn't have a value pre release, but after the game is created and released, gold had a value of 100k at the start. After more creations such as more rides and wings, gold had more demand. After the creation of the aniversary packs when packs was introduced, the value of gold increase dramaticly.

    The first thing i like to point out is that, pwi the game is not rl or the normal environment that we are familiar with. Pwe/i is not our government. They are an extreme capitalist company with atleast a few smart people running it. We might be able to come up with an arguement that they could make more money, but we don't know for a fact, and arguably, given the time and the circumstance, they did pretty a good job. Imho though, this game is no where near its best.

    I say that becasue i think the internet is still relatively new. I say that because imo i think that mmorpg is still at its infant stage. Its going to take time before mmorpg evolve to the point where its equivalent to tv, meaning not only will it satify gamers but the vast mojority of a population. We are not all naturally couch potatoes, yet most of us watch so much tv because tv related companies want us to...

    Getting back to my point, at any given time, pw can and will creat item or content which will increase demand for gold. They can for example creat rank 8 at a certain price and increase demand for gold. oh hang on, that already happened. They can for example create better rides and wings which could increase demand for gold.

    Moving on to the accusation of other suspect for the increase in gold price.

    Firstly, CS can't control price of gold. They as an individual cannot make sells of gold for 2.5m now or the near future if nothing changes. It is highly unlikey for CS to sell gold and keep gold at say, 1.7m right now or the near future. The fact is, as mentioned numerous time, if gold is that cheap or undervalue, anyone who knows what gold is worth or anyone who learned what gold is worth at a particular point in time will buy those gold untill it rises to what it is worth, like now. CS as an individual have very little means to control prices of gold other then mere negotiating influence, from an intuitive piont of view.

    Merchants. How can we blame them for being greedy if say they make similar profit margin pre and post gold's sharp rise such as the last few weeks. The best greedy merchant imo is one that drive competitions away. They have little power to influence gold price. They are there to buy at what ever good value price at the time and mark it up for a profit. Who buys these packs? peopl who think its too trouble some or maybe those who got it wrong xD

    I had more i wanted to add but can't think straight atm.

    Yep, but I'm willing to bet that the people that dispute sales being a driver of gold prices have never even sat down to read the posts that explain pack value vs gold price.

    The price of Gold is driven by the player base, and I don't mean the Sellers/Buyers of Gold. One only has to watch WC and see the price of items being sold, and yes a lot are from packs but none the less, they are way over priced. When a Herc/Phoenix ticket sells 90-130m, only a fool would sell gold at 400k. Truthfully, if one was to scale Gold prices to the greed of the item sellers, gold at 2m is under priced. Be thankful it's not more like 4m or more. ^^

    I've been making millions everyday before I even hitting 2aps from gathering herbs. I was actually 2.22 sparked at the beginning of 2x and now I'm 5 aps with a +8 striking dragons. It's amazing what basic econ can teach you, and I pretty much almost failed that class.
