The hard part would be getting heavy cs'ers agree to fight with only +10 hh99 weps because they wouldn't want to risk any chance of deflating their eeeepeens.

    but nowadays Its R9 or GTFO the game has no pvp balance anymore
    i have the same gear for over a year and slowly work on it up it was good thn but not good enough now
    i could get R9 but i see no point
    the game just want ppl to keep spending to be on top

    R9 has unbalanced the game for most people, but back then wasn't it R8 or GTFO? It's the same situation now, except that now your gear is average compared to back then when it was top quality. I remember one time when I got off a triple-sparked sutra combo off on you, it left you with around 15% hp, and I needed one more spell but my hp didn't hold out :p But anyone else would have fallen to that.

    I get what your saying though. People spent a lot of money thinking they were getting endgame gear, and now a couple months later that gear is worth nothing and they can't even sell it for a decent amount.

    I got multiple gears to +7 or higher gambling on mirages, but now they've lowered the price on D. orbs so much that it's barely cheaper to gamble on mirages now...so just about everyone has +7 or better gears. So while my refines were pretty good back then, they're just average now, and I can't find a cheapo way to get my stuff to +12 yet :p.

    For the "money" and farming/merchanting required to get to endgame status, this game makes the gears obsolete way too fast.

    Edit: I also wanted to add that aside from sins, the cheaper d. orbs and R8 has actually made it a bit more competitive across the whole spectrum. R9 still owns, but everyone else is on a relatively equal footing. I've yet to encounter much trouble pvp'ing w/ "only" a rank 8 +1 nature talker, aside from sins and the obvious R9's.

    During the time I played I noticed that those people labelled as the best were usually the ones that knew how to play and were generally well prepared for PvP. Talking about wizzards, not many wizzards I saw were as prepared to PvP (event pots, blessings, genie, apo pots, defence and attack charms, charms) as LoLLa for instance. But there were quite a few as skilled as her but not many were as prepared for PvP and were OP at the same time as Nurfed, Xulin, Kalyptica later on, and a few more that I cant remember right now.
    I will increase some players ego by rating the ones I consider the best for their classes according to their preparation for PvP, skill in both group and solo PvP and use of the appropriate skills for the right moments.

    BM: Apologies, Rome, Emo? (dont know if he still plays (the real one))
    Wizzard: Nurfed, Kalyptica, (I could mention Xulin but with this r9 stuff I dont know if he can be the best fighting agaisnt the most powerful), this rank9 wizz that is good at both group and solo PvP and can make good use of his/her skills and mess people up
    Barb: Wolfo, Tapoo, Endlesshp
    Veno: Lump
    Archer: Banzzoka, Barbapooper, Curses, (I dont know many archers nowadays, this is merely based on my current knowledge of Archers)
    Cleric: too many to mention one
    Psy: is there any psy today that can compete with urDian?
    Sin: this class doenst PvP, it PKs only as far as I know

    I was thinking more along the lines of a 1v1 NPC gear tournament as well. Main problem is figuring out when would be the best time to stage it so it doesn't interfere with anyone's TWs and let the Europeans participate as well.

    But anyway...was thinking of first dividing by classes and then having the top three from each class get entered into a final overall segment just for the hell of it.

    If your planning too do a NPC gear tourney you need to say no blessings too, tested it out and its horribly unbalanced on the side of DD classes if you have the blessings in. No tomes either.

    I've been PKing at west in 8x NPC gear so already got mine b:victory

    Edit: Actually I was hanging around west arch this morning on a lvl 1 alt (yes I'm a stalker) and was impressed w/ Longknife as psy, he owned Gopessa's sin as well as another sin's name that started w/ J...forgot...and his gear isn't really that top notch either. Haven't seen any other pvp besides that one though.

    He's a hella good psy!

    I saw him pwning so much 5 aps +10 sins like no other class. Always some good PvP when he's on the west gates.

    But, yeah, give him urDian's gears and he will be immortal (well said). Also - give _LoLLa_ Kalyptica's gear and she will be immortal, too. b:surrender
