You're clearly not reading this thread, only parts of it. First of all, if you only want pvp... play on a pvp server... or even better... a pvp orientated game. I'd also guarantee you that your pvp experience would be a whole lot more enjoyable/challenging if you didn't dump absurd amounts of real life cash into your character. You want a PvP challenge? Play like an average geared player. It's rather annoying to see the best geared players get confused with being the best skilled players. Most of the people viewed as top pk'rs these days also tend to be the most geared out players, I can say that from personal experience a lot of them were not /that/ good back when their gear was "average". Please don't misconstrue what I'm saying here as me saying I'm a good PvP'r or whatever, I'm quite aware I'm not that good at it. I also don't care that I'm not xD
As you said, all you see is people whining. But I can tell you two people already have put down that they've easily 1v1'd this player. So like I stated at the start, you're clearly not reading this thread, just responding to a generalized atmosphere of it. I also know that a member in my faction two shot this guy recently as well. Mocking and labeling a faction obviously comes with the kind of people you choose to let into your faction. If you're going to allow people to act however they choose, make complete fools of themselves by their behavior, and then not do anything to correct it; then yeah, people are going to mock and deride a group, faction, etc.
Your last paragraph is fairly accurate though. No arguments there. Nobodies tend to remain as nobodies in this game. if you don't like discussions about such things, don't read the forums then.
Oh... btw, since you did seem to miss the entire purpose of this thread. It was to laugh about the comments made by said player, relating to their self-proclaimed godliness. It wasn't a "q_q" thread at conception. Yeah the title of the thread was kind of poorly chosen, but eh, these topics like most on this sub-forum tend to derail on their own.0 -

My Short story:)
This happened a long time ago but I remember it like it was yesterday. I changed names so not to name and shame anyone or any faction:)
Xmhxx a barb from Canary (80ish with average gear) ran into SP in PK mode and sees a bunch of other members from Canary in PK mode along with a cleric named Ms. Pie who is not in a faction.
Xmhxx PK's Ms. Pie then a high level cleric from Canary standing behind him Sleeps him then Tempest, etc. Which results
in the death of Xmhxx.
Xmhxx probably stared at his monitor for a few minutes in disbelief b/c he was just PK'd by a fellow Canary member.
Xmhxx says in faction chat "WTH I was just PK'd by a Canary member".
An officer named Shorty whispers back "ST*U"
Xmhxx once again probably stared at his monitor in disbelief.
At this point Xmhxx looses it and types back F you Shorty in faction chat... So everyone can see. Unfortunitly PWI placed ***** where he did not want them.
Xmhxx then places spaces between the letters to insure there was not a misunderstanding as to what he said.
One of Shorty's officer friends then tells Xmhxx to ST*U as well.
Xmhxx goes off and basically tells all the officers in Canary to F O... LOL
A third officer whispers Xmhxx and says"I saw what happened in SP and that was completely wrong"
Xmhxx whispers back to third officer and says "Shorty told me to ST*U"
Third officer replies "I'll get Sara (Canary Leader) on asap to sort this out"
Leader of Canary logs on (Sara) and whispers Xmhxx and says "what in the world is going on?"
Xmhxx and Sara jump on Xmhxx's vent.
Sara: "What is going on?"
Xmhxx: "I got PK'd in SP by Canary member"
Sara: "Did you speak with an officer?"
Xmhxx: "Yeah, Shorty told me to ST*U...So I told him and another officer to F-Off (sends SS of Shorty's whisper to Sara). Other officer said Shorty has a thing for Ms. Pie and is friends with the cleric that PK'd me"
Sara: "Ok. I'm sorry that happened. I will take care of this. Please do not leave Canary, this is not how we treat our members".
Xmhxx: "OK thanks Sara please get it worked out".
To this day Xmhxx pretty much discredits anything coming out of Shorty's mouth because he can not be fair and impartial when push comes to shove. But he sure talks a good game:)

Faction pk is never alright. I'd never condone it. But there is never a simple way to resolve a singular occurrence of it, unless of course you can prove that the pk was done intentionally.
Your scenario you created sounds oddly familiar. I vaguely recall quite a few pk instances in old LG past, but to be fair, don't remember much about things that happened 2 years or so ago from this game xD
Sounds like the officer that told the member to ST*U was actually saying "faction chat is not the place for drama of this degree. take it to pm's to settle it" If an officer ever did react to the extent of saying ST*U to a member, it's most likely because the member refused to keep drama out of faction chat. From your scenario, if several officer's are telling Xmhxx to ST*U, then that keys me in on the fact that Xmhxx was being out-of-control and not acting mature. I also can't imagine any two officer's that would flat out tell another member to ST*U. I guess my observation/comments on that whole scenario would be, if you've got a problem, don't try to start a riot. There are much better ways to resolve disputes. I mean no offense to any of the imaginary characters in the story, I really have no clue who any of them are supposed to be xD

While I realize that this is very late, and is not directly relating to this individual, I do agree that every player in a faction is a representative of that faction, and lends to the faction's reputation. I also agree that an entire faction shouldn't be judged on the character of a single person.
In that respect, my first thought would be to take screenshots in case they are necessary, which the OP has clearly done, and then report the behavior to the faction lead or officer(s). I know for a fact that if someone provided me or any other officer with valid information that someone in our faction was behaving this way, it would be promptly dealt with.
The problem is that sometimes (and very unfortunately) you get a two faced faction member. They could act wonderful in faction chat, be polite and helpful, get along with everyone, and then turn around and treat other players like dirt.
Of course that is not acceptable.
On the other hand there are also cases of lies where a person will be called out for something they did not actually do. This is where those screenshots come in handy.
Truthfully though, when looking at the bigger picture, some people let every little thing bother them and need to learn to get over things, while other people have a serious complex and look down on everyone else, in which case they need to get over themselves.

KK Strifey:) The only flaw in your thought process is that the first statement made by Xmhxx was very general and the ST *U response from "shorty" was not warranted or would anyone in there right mind feel would be appropriate coming from someone in a leadership role. You know someone who sets examples for others:)

tbh total bias and nepotism run rampant in every TW fac in sanctuary. people play favorites in a game? amazing /sarcasm.
