No, it is not like room 14 because in room 14 u HAVE to kill someone to pass. in 11 you jjust chill for 3 minutes unless you maybe hate 1 person or something. This person camping room 11 for hours to not let any1 pass. thats another thing.

My point is if I met Saren trying to charge me 10k to pass Room 11, I'd fight because Room 11 doesn't take a lot of time to get to. The tickets needed to restart and get past Room 11 is less than 10k even lol.

It's like Room 14 in the sense that I wait and fight in 14 rather than use Do Alls because it doesn't take a lot of time and dice rolls to get past room 14 if I get killed. Sometimes I just kill myself and reset in 14 if no one comes.

On the other hand, sometimes I don't want to deal with the hassle of going up to 34 again so I use Do Alls there, because by the time you get to 34 you're more than halfway through Cube.

I agree camping the Bored rooms is kind of stupid, because if you were trying to finish Cube, might as well leave the people in Bored Rooms alive just in case you land in room 14 or 34. lol

question: what to do when u become "god " in a pve server? spawn kill undergeared people at SP? kill people trying to get chests in DT (which is only once a week)? Farm faster ? oh wait, u already got nothing to farm...

Guess they just get bored and quit game like those past 'gods' of server.

cause the person and the faction are equally the responsibility of each other action wise. The fac and the individual each carries the name of the other, you dont expect the faction to shame the members and you dont expect the members to shame the faction.

I remember when I once said this same thing, many, many months ago, about a squad of Leg people who'd kinda screwed over a noob friend in her fb19, and people jumped all over me, saying you can't judge a faction based on a couple of members. x_x

LeGendary is a notorious faction of fb19 jerks. This is common knowledge as it is one of their guiding principles: "Thou must ****'eth thoust nubbies in thee fb19". But in all seriousness, am sure that whatever happened to your friend, proper communication could have resolved the issue. While I can't speak for every single member of LG, or be the one to determine what constitutes someone being a ***** and what doesn't, I can say that LG does take personality/server reputation into account before letting applicants in.

More often than not, ego-freaks and jerks tend to not get in (with the exception of myself~), regardless of how nice their gear is.

Did a 3 person FCC with this person the other day and when I commented on their gear they started in on how they couldn't believe I'd never heard their name since their archer had once been the leading Pker on sanctuary and they got banned probably because they were so good and had too many pk kills and even after a year(or something) they were still ranked 37th... How could I not have heard of them? I must be a noob.

They spent the rest of the FCC run telling me how great they were...

That night I watched the WCs fly in on how this person was surprise ambushing everyone who entered room 11 farming kills for their pk count.


Oh, and a friend asked me why I don't apply to Vindi b:shocked

Just gonna defend Legendary, too. Whenever someone of.... "questionable character" but OP gear applies alot of people jump in "we can use them in TW" but a greater amount of Legendarians speak up on how important quality of player and personal character is, and the vote usualy went in favor of character vs gear since gear is easier to improve.

When i applied for Legendary nobody asked for my gear and as far as i saw is Legendary the only long-established TW faction that doesn't look for gear as much, at least not on application directly. I think its good the way it is since gear takes the spotlight away from the more important things.

A factions reputation means a lot without a doubt. Maybe this is why "faction racism" is a very big problem nowadays only because a few people gave a bad name to certain factions. When you do something wrong it comes down to "I wouldnt expect anything else from a person out of the faction XXX." very fast. Most of the people don't see the good things happen, they only see a certain person trashtalking in worldchat and say "Typically Vindicate.". Please don't forget that especially the big factions have more than just a few in a bad way well known players. They also got kind-hearted and friendly people and actually you can have a lot of fun with most of them if you are willing to skip on your own bias regarding their faction.

As for the one wizard we are talking about in here, in the end it comes down to one point:

You can have the best gear on the server and be a self-proclaimed god but nobody likes the way you behave and there is no use for the gear because you lack something more important: good friends to have fun with.

mm thats very very true. But theres also the question of how many of those good hearted pple are looking the other way while it happens. IF... your aware of it, and making no effort to right the wrong thats causing the name of your faction to degrade then it seems like their pitching into it, indirectly.

I know this might sound like trolling but a big faction that has always been called (wrongly, in my opinion) as ex-nef will never be liked by most people. Same with Regi really... and I guess with Leg too, although they were never that hated.

Trying to defend yourself in WC is much, much worse than not doing anything imo. If someone says "they suck", saying "no we don't" isn't going to make any kind of difference to anyone, especially not to the person who said they suck. Talking to him in whispers and asking why he says that might even help more.

About that one wiz or anyone with big ego: they are always hated by only their faction, not by their actions. One such person doesn't make a faction look bad. I've seen factions get worse rep although all of their members are okay. A good example would be any of three current big TW factions.

The tittle of the post is totaly wrong because this is not Vindicate your are talking about a single player who just join a faction, wonder to know if were tittled with another big faction name is he were joinning another in the server.

So you can't add all the Vindicate members in the same 'sack' because there is many great players in Vindicate not beeing an ...............

Now as Vindicate member I must say that I really feel embarrassed to read here one of our faction member has a great ego and is asking for coins to survive at CoF runs, for me this is: I wanna be Wizzeled or hey I back as a Wizzy, at least it looks like for me and since he is not spamming wc some months ago or more after he back from the 'Pls GM's ban my account' now i want to play 'Pls Gm's unban my account'

We just don't invite R9 people also some of the R9 players were joinning the faction before the 1st sale come out and get their R9 gear, so be a R9 player to use you during TW is not a Vindicate politics.

Agree! Vindicate is not Nef2 like haters want to draw us because some old Nef members joined or join us, I bet if they moved to another factions poeple will say the same with the others factions.

I have been in Nefarious myself for almost 2 years and all i can tell you is that 80% of Vindicates TW lineup are old Nefarians, either still on their former chars or on alts now. The name above their head doesnt matter to most of the people, at most its just strange that you see such a high percentage in one and the same faction again. Vindicate actually evolved out of the fact that some (meanwhile quite a lot) of the veteran Nefarious members were not quite happy with the Nefarian leadership and their decisions so they left to create a new faction led by By_uL by that time. The real veteran nefs split up into 80% Vindicate, 5% Regicide (meanwhile less), 10% Legendary and 5% random factions.

You can discuss now whether its right or wrong/good or bad to call Vindicate Nefarious2 but you simply cant deny the fact that most of the people in there come from where they come from. Nefarious. That is the place where they learned how to TW and how to develop strategies. Maybe thats why a lot of people get it in a negative way.

You are leader of a more or less big faction so you might know that diplomacy, dealing with such problems and ... let me call it "having the balls" to step in when such things happen are very difficult things. I made such experiences myself and i doubt that certain people would listen if you said "Hey, what you say is causing harm to the faction." - and yes, i tried it several times. Some people just simply dont care for the factions name above their head, they just care for nothing and nobody but themselves. Period.

I have to admit that having a certain kind of reputation caused a lot of trouble to some players tho. We have a bunch of well-known people who will never get into a successful and long-established TW faction anymore just because nobody likes to have such kind of drama there.
